The day was sunny and cold. I used the Tamron 150-600mm @ 428mm and was 7 yards distance from the squirrel.

Canon 6D - Tamron 150-600mm @ 428mm - 1/640 - f/10 - ISO @ 800 - Distance was 7 yards.

I like the way the sun is shining on him.

Love it! Kinda' like shooting fish in a barrel. Meant as a compliment.

Thank you very much, Jeff. I was surprised how many whiskers the squirrels have and what are those long "?" beside the claws?

Thank you, Karen. If you give them a peanut, they will sit still for a moment so you can take a non-blurred photo.

They can be destructive, but I like their energy and cuteness and some will gently eat a peanut from my hand. Most people don't realize they are only 6-8" in body length, not counting their bushy tail.

We have a lot of these small Red Squirrels in our city park which sometimes they will eat out of your hand. My 8 year old Granddaughter loves to feed them when she visits us.
Thank you, Fullframe, for your kind reply.
