Actually, it seems that it is usually Canon owners trying to rile up everyone else. Did you see how many white lenses were at that game? Canon this Canon that... It isn't the Camera everyone dislikes.. It is a few of the Canon shooters that seem to have the idea that because they have a Canon, it MAKES them a good shooter. Canon is a good camera, as is Nikon. Honeywell Pentax was a good workhorse film camera back in the day, as were several others. It wasn't and isn't the camera but how the owner uses it. Most Canon owners, like Nikon, Sony and others just want a good tool that they can depend on and use to its maximum. Don't you think that if Canon was as good as some wannabes think it is that Nikon and the others would just shut their doors?

I take photos with a battered ol' Pentax K20d. Some pics are good some are bad. A more proficient photographer would get good results all the time. Simple as that.
Its 2014 the consumer rules. No one makes a bad camera they make them slightly different but ALL excellent.
Do ya know how frigging boring you Canon vs Nikon guys are??? Its like an argument on a tape loop.

Supposedly, Canon is developing a 50mp sensor + Digic6 processor full-frame unit that has BETTER low-light/high ISO stats than the 6D. I heard release is somewhere late 3Q-early 4Q 2015. I bet it will not be cheap, and I don't believe it'll be mirror less (that part is a function of the OVF-EVF "debate" ). :)

Why would I be jealous? I can use every lens Pentax ever made since at least since the late 1950's and the same with Nikon. Canon keeps completely switching mounts about every 20 years. Also Canon spends a lot on advertizing and is obviously getting good results. I'll admit I think Canon may have nailed their AF system for wildlife photography use, but then that is not my interest in photography. Since you brought up the Emotion jealousy, why do you seem to have the need to put down others that make different choices. If you need that much validation for you equipment, I for one will not want to critique your photos. There are no bad DSLRs, only poor or inexperienced users. If I want better than my Pentax K-5, I can use one of my 4x5" view cameras.

He probably has not touched anything other than a >2011 Canon. As I recall NEARLY ALL the pros shot Nikon and Hasselblad. He sounds like he'd also be one of those "what is film?".

My post you allude to was merely a statement of fact - hardly to be construed as indicative of jealousy. Those of us who can afford a quality system but don't buy into Canon, certainly could, and your claim that we're jealous of Canon owners is utterly absurd. It would be a sad world if everyone thought alike ... get a life!

I suppose they make decent stuff but I'm clad SS that someone like you has finally stood up and said what I've known for the many years I've owned Canon.
