Define "everyone". I, frankly, don't give a durn what kind of camera people buy. I don't have any Nikon stock so why should I care? I think you are trolling and trying to see how much attention you can get. Why don't you spend your time using your Canon?

Don't recall saying that I know the unequivocal answer to that.
I can give answers, and then people will come tell you why I am wrong.
I'll throw 2 models out there though
Nikon D7100
Canon 6D

Tigger, 70 is pretty darn good at everything. The next step would be the 6D. It's not a real fast camera, but it has very good attributes for every day shooting. I think they are less than $2K.

Not "everyone" is. And even if "everyone" was jealous, why do you care? Do your thing and have a ball.

Mc, just so you know, I'm typing with one hand and shooting my Canon with the other. Ergonomics really come into their own here. The tricky part is setting the hook while I hold the Hog rod in my TEETH !!

Erik, no, I'm on break at work.
I read this day in and day out. It dominates a good percentage of post and EVERY post where someone wants to know what camera to buy.
Some just can't get past trivialness and to what's really important in photography. ;-)

If you got past this trivialness yourself, perhaps you could post something intelligent!

Why does EVERYBODY besides Canon shooters start seeing red when someone announces they want a Canon Camera?
It's not because the sensors are better. ...snip...

Overestimating a bit, SS!!!
I have never wanted a Canon camera, have never held one, have never been jealous of anyone who owns one - all because I am very satisfied with the camera I have because of the high quality photos I can take with it.
So, EVERYBODY doesn't include me - you numbers are down by one :^)

Ahhh , yes, RWR, you mean something like, "how Canon got its reputation", is that what you mean?
RWR that's exactly the kind of jealousy I was talking about!
You're no stranger to it!
This seems to be a very passionate subject. I see it here every day. Yet like a crime in the ghetto, if you ask around, nobody saw or heard anything, yet there was a big mob watching!
It's ok to talk about it.
I just asked the question. ;-)

Star, thanks for the perspective. I never said you are part of "everybody". Many are not, but MANY more are. And it's ok to rave about your camera, we all do that. But you probably don't run around insulting those that don't, as some do.
Sometimes the jealousy gets so thick you could slice it and fry it!
We've all witnessed it. If not been targets. ;-)

I will admit that IF (a very hypothetical IF) I would ever think about buying a FF camera for some unknown reason, it would be Canon.

I'll also admit that the best bridge camera I've put my hands on is the Canon SX50.

Going even further, my favorite lens on micro four thirds is the Canon FD 50mm f/1.8, which is readily available from thrift stores and Ebay for $5.

However, my format is micro four thirds. Until Canon makes a camera in that format (yeah, like that's gonna happen in this millennium) I won't be buying one. End of long story.

just finished reading a dozen reviews on the 6D.
It doesn't seem to offer much over the 70D so guess i'll save my lunch money for when canon comes up with a 40mpx full frame mirrorless.
