I love the 18-200 lenses. My daughter is "borrowing" my D90. After she broke the 18-105 that was on there and kept badgering me to use my 18-200 Nikon, I bought a used 18-250 Tamron from KEH for the camera. Now she doesn't bug me. I also just got an 18-200 Sony lens for my a6000.

The 18-200 zoom is enough to cover most situations for a carry around lens. Sure, occasionally a 10mm would be nice and getting a shot of that seagull 500 feet away could use a 3-400. But for 98% of my photography that 18-200 does a great job.
