I recieved a $50 gift card today any ideas on what I should pick up with it?

I was thinking a new roll of back drop paper?
Softbox?
A book (which one?)

Any other ideas?

I just purchased "The Practical Zone System for Film and Digital Photography" by Chris Johnson (apprenticed with Ansel Adams). It has re-charged my batteries in terms of becoming more serious about digital photography.

Whenever I have a little extra money, I make a donation to the ASPCA, or perhaps a spay and neuter clinic.

I'm happy that you are passionate for your cause but I intend to be purely selfish with this gift and purchase something for myself. I've had a not so great week and believe that I deserve to spend it souly on myself.

As a mother of 3, it rarely happens.

You go girl. I agree. My wife made my life easier when the boys were young. I know we wouldn't have 2 boys if I would have been home with them. I'd of sold them the first week!

Well, in that case, spend some of it to hire a baby sitter, use the rest for gas and grab you camera and go to the most beautiful, relaxing place you know and just start taking pictures.

I don't know if you have one or not, but I have always been glad to have a 10X magnifying lupe close at hand. B&H has quite a selection. They're great for studying photos, coins, hangnails, etc.

Spend every penny totally on yourself ... not the camera or equipment .. not the kids ... or the hubby..... be selfish .. you deserve it ! Go out and get yourself something you have been wanting but would never waste the money on yourself like that.

After the interlude last week with your former manager, you might buy a crow bar and pay him a visit ! haha just kidding.
