i had no idea u were learning,ur photos seem so professional and so does your advice

Thank you so much.

I've only really started to learn about photography seriously (besides taking quick snap shots). I've been studying, learning and practicing for just over a year. I'm pretty much an open book so if there is anything you want to know, please feel free to ask. If I know the answer I'll share. If I don't, well I'll learn something new helping you find out what it is.

All so, I'm pretty happy to share my "before" and "where I am now" pictures, so if ya ever want to see them I can link you to them. You can laugh your butt off.

now go and have a laugh at my pictures from 16 months ago and give yourself a pat on the back cause, you are NOT starting from down in bottom of the barrel like I did.

I am  I've worked really hard.

Pick up a copy of understand exposure (book) best $25 I ever spent photography wise. Then post for C&C, you don't have to use all the advise you get but listen to what people say, take a step back and see if you can apply it to your photography. It's hard to open yourself up to having people tear your photos apart (especially if you are like me, your subjects are your children) but I promise it will take your photography to a new level.

shoot into the dark f32/30sec tripod work is simple
set up before dark (possible) and wait ... late afternoon
or night and all you do is use any (multiple) light source
check focus and composition (or/not) and fire away 5/6/12/34

do we date or work here too?

your friend,Bill

D3100 Nikon is well aged now but still has all I need ,
the lens is 24-85 f2.8-4 D film lens x 1.5 works for me
the tripod is my best gear because it allows one pause
to rethink the idea in question and time/space/place to work

zoom out/in window/set and use strobe/flash/LED/anything,
ten try it hand/held (not/oft)
