Thank you very much, Sdaupanner. BIF are always hard for me to do. It takes a lot of practice.
Once again, great shots, keep up the great work.

Two days ago on a sunny but windy day I took these 3 Seagull photos over the Coeur d' Alene Lake beach area which ranged from 350' to 650'. I am still practicing with this new Tamron lens for BIF photos. I'll get better as time goes on.
All photos were shot at 600mm.
Even more of these! What a treat. I've been using seagulls to practice shooting BIF as they are everywhere. But they can be a sneaky lot, dipping when you expect them to soar, banking left when you expect him to go to the right. You know what I mean. And you just keep catching them in great poses.
What a second, are you bribing them? :)

Thank you, Michael. Here in North Idaho we have a lot of large lakes and Seagulls which is our most common bird, besides the Robins, Finches, Crows, Ducks, Geese, etc. The Seagulls do tend to change direction unlike Geese flying in formation. So, I set my Canon 6D at continuous 4.5 shots per second and auto focusing and pray I will get at least one good capture. The best time for me to get a good photo is when the bird is flying towards me and it doesn't zig-zag to much. It takes a lot of practice.
There are UHH members here who do a great job with BIF photos. Better than me, however the birds are larger and closer for them to shoot.
