Great BIF shots Regis, can't wait to see your eagle shots this Fall. How much did you have to crop these three shots? Very fine detail!

That is amazing! You got the catch light in the eye at a distance more than the length of two football fields. What a lens and what a photographer. You deserve each other. I really do look forward to your postings on this forum. Thank you.

Thank you RRS, for your kind comment. I also can't wait till December for more Bald Eagle shots using my new Tamron 150-600mm lens. I should get more detail.
I cropped all 3 photos a lot, but still retained good detail. Most of the time I use cropping to get that composition I like.

Thank you very much, waltchilds. Central Florida has a lot of birdlife to photograph. I was born in Florida.

I was also born in Florida and live in Central Florida. Do you ever shoot at Circle B, I only live a few minutes from there.

Thank you very much, Tom. The highlight in the eye is in the lower part of the eye beside the eyelid where there is a liquid area and the sun hit it at the right angle. A rare event.

Well Regis, you did it again. More outstanding Pictures. I like the last one as it looks like 3D.
Great work.

Thank you very much, rkeele. Another UHH member mentioned the 3D effect. Strange.

Very good for panning shots. Are you using continous auto focus? Practice and more practice. Like they say, "take 100's of shots and throw most away."

Thank you very much, LightBender. Yes. I use continuous auto focus and shoot a lot of photos so that I get a few good ones and as you said, throw the rest away.
There's too many variables with taking BIF photos, so you have to shoot many photos to get a good one. If someone paid me $10 for each bad shot, I would be a rich man by now.

I am still practicing with this new Tamron lens for BIF photos. I'll get better as time goes on.
All photos were shot at 600mm.

Looks like you're doing a great job now.
