Super photos Bob, did you find any pirate treasure in the cave?
I went into the cave, and I found the pot of gold...
Oregon is absolutely spectacular. I found it to be a photographers dream come true. My son just moved out there last year, and I couldn't be happier, cause now I get to go there every year!!
Make sure you go to Crater Lake and Wildlife Safari, both a photographers paradise. At Wildlife Safari you are right out with the animals.
Thanks Mrs. I was planning to visit Crater lake for sure. Didn't know about wildlife safari, sounds like south Florida's version of Lion Country Safari, and I will add that to my list. Honestly, I just can't wait to get back there!
Well said Bob, I like others here look forward to visiting Oregon next year and while I hope to get some good photos and rocks (I'm also a rockhound).More importantly, I'm going to visit my best friend, as you say our real treasures.

Maybe that's the solution. I need a daughter in Oregon. Seems most of my traveling now a days is to see the kids and grandkids.

I'm going to Crater Lake tomorrow so maybe I will have some shots to show off. Have a friend coming from
New York and it will be his first time to see the lake. I live just 76 miles from there on the beautiful Rogue River.

Bring a polarizing filter if you have a DSLR, you'll need it.

I second that, I would love to get involved in a photo class that don't cost an arm and leg too. I would love to be able to take shots like that group you sent.
This topic has come up where I live on numerous occasions recently. I've worked hard for 42 years and really enjoy retirement. I do what I can locally to teach seniors about photography. After all, we live in a virtual paradise when it comes to photographic material. I off help online in half a dozen forums. Sometimes I'm a teacher & sometimes I'm a student. There are all levels of talent out there. Thank you for your support.

Well you have a willing student here anytime you want to impart that knowlege this way. Excellent pics!
I know how to make beautiful collages, and blended pictures and stuff, but editing a good pic into a better one, or taking perfect shots, is another thing; and I am trying to learn how to do both very well, so I have something I can do when I retire from mechanics.

Well now that was a challenge but you'll like the results. Of course you realize I've stood on that very spot many times. Great photo!
Your photos are beautiful. So sharp and crisp. What program do you edit in. Beautiful place to live.
Hi Bob,
Beautiful pictures. Are you using a polarizing filter, or are you boosting the contrast a little in Photoshop? I'm in Colorado, so I have different beauty near by, but my son lives in Eugene, OR, so I have enjoyed your beautiful seascapes.
