That is a beautiful area, be sure and get up to Oceanside, there is a hotel on a hill there with a stunning view of the beach.

Post more OR coast photos soon.

Eric

Well now that was a challenge but you'll like the results. Of course you realize I've stood on that very spot many times. Great photo!

I think you need to set up some kind of on line lessons that don't cost an arm and a leg for us poor beginners. Let me know if you ever do it. I need a class that starts at the beginning and takes me to shots like these.

This is a favorite hangout when I feel like a leisurely walk along the beach. Oregon beaches aren't crowded at all and are always pristine. Canon Beach has a huge monolith named Haystack Rock. It's a landmark and during really low tides can be reached from the beach. There's a huge cave that people visit as well as additional rock formations that rise out of the ocean.

...these shots are absolutely beautiful! Jan

You are correct I am addressing you. I just assume unless there is a quote that the person is addressing the originator of the post. I will try to include a post from now on.

I second that, I would love to get involved in a photo class that don't cost an arm and leg too. I would love to be able to take shots like that group you sent.

This topic has come up where I live on numerous occasions recently. I've worked hard for 42 years and really enjoy retirement. I do what I can locally to teach seniors about photography. After all, we live in a virtual paradise when it comes to photographic material. I off help online in half a dozen forums. Sometimes I'm a teacher & sometimes I'm a student. There are all levels of talent out there. Thank you for your support.

I went into the cave, and I found the pot of gold...

Oregon is absolutely spectacular. I found it to be a photographers dream come true. My son just moved out there last year, and I couldn't be happier, cause now I get to go there every year!!
