Will be visiting NYC in a few weeks and will only have about 2 hours to explore one of these stores. I have purchased from both and their customer service, selection and pricing is outstanding. Familiar with their Friday and Saturday hours and July 16th is a religous holiday. Any recommendations if I can only visit ONE store? Thanks.

76, I've never been to either one, but I'm sure both have anything I'd ever want to look at.
If I were going all the way to NY from VA, I would certainly not waste two of my precious hours going to a store! I'm not saying its wrong, it's just not my style.
That said, I've purchased a few things from both, but in the future I will be giving all of my big box style purchases to Adorama. It's for no other reason than I use their Adorama TV learning tools and feel that I benefit from them and wish to support the learning philosophy of the store to the public. I know BH has some classes, but I will never attend one since they are at the store.
My reason is mine alone but the videos give me value and a reason to support Adorama. Have fun at B&H. SS

I love your store and website. I refer to it as going to the Bloomingdales of the camera world. No matter what you want. You guys have it. And your staff is superb. Knowledgable and courteous.

Thank you!

B&H by far; their return policy is twice as good as Adorama.

I literally will only shop at B&H the staff there are excellent. I've never had a problem with a return. I've also been given good advice on purchases.
I 'm a regular at the event space which is wonderful. Also David Brommer the event space director has gone out of his way to assist me when I had a problem with a camera and a lens. I can't say enough good things about B&H.

I have only bought a few items from B&H , their service has been excellent and shipping extremely fast, I hope in the next three weeks to spend 2 hrs shopping there myself.. I promise to leave my wife and wallet in the hotel.
I can have it shipped without anyone knowing!

B&H screwed me for over $520 by shipping thru UPS (which is worse than horrible in this area) after I specifically explained that and specified FedEx or the USPS for shipment. UPS claimed they had delivered, but could not produce a signature -- because I was not here to sign for it. I have had no such problems with Adorama. They put what I specify on the quote, and that is the way my purchases ship from them.

I'm very sorry for your dissatisfaction. Unfortunately "Michael O' from the midwest" is not enough for me to ID you or the transaction in question. If you can provide a B&H order number I'd be happy to look into this allegation and provide an explanation or apology as circumstances dictate.

For those anticipating a visit this summer, don't forget we close at 2:00pm EDT Fridays and we're closed all day every Saturday. We will also be closed Tuesday, July 16 for a solemn fast day in the Jewish calendar.

Michael O......
I think you are ill-advised to rant on a public forum that a particular retailer "screwed you", when in fact you even admit that it was another shipper's fault; if the question is, "has B&H Photo EVER made a mistake", I'm guessing that the answer is probably "yes", inasmuch as they process THOUSANDS of orders EVERY day; (pretty hard to be "perfect" 100% of the time and still handle that much volume) And the FACT remains, 99.99% of all those folks who have done business with B&H Photo, were very pleased with the outcome, (myself included)

It has been my experience that many of the people reporting "having been screwed", almost always had "unrealistic expectation" in the first place. ( And have a nice day !)

Well Henry, what do you say about the fact that you lot don't know even what's on your website when I'm inquiring about
postage to Australia.
And you become all precious and block emails when people show their frustration at you lot.
For example, the Pocket Wizard AC3.........
It's either the system or morons.
It's not my job to see which and I don't like them wasting my time, I'll go to someone else who knows what they're doing and selling.
