FYI I canceled the order today, After talking to the service department, I was told that they didn't have the kit but would sell me the body and lens separately. At this point I lost all faith in them and canceled the order.

I will keep posting to this thread the results of the "refund" to see how long it takes and if there are other problems that arise.

Have you tried B&H? You're in New York so unfortunately you'll have to pay sales tax. But they are very reliable.

I ordered a refurbished Canon EOS 7D, from B&H. I ordered over the phone, gave my cc number, completed the sale. The phone rep asked if I wanted a CP card, and he informed me the package did not come with a card. I simply explained to him I already have a Canon 50d and the cards are inter-changeable. He agreed, and asked if I wanted a spare battery, I did, but forgot to ask, and added the battery. He had to offer the insurance, and I declined. I use AMX and got their warranty extension for the second 6 months for free with my card. Soon, I will add a Canon 7D to my signature. B&H has always been a good experience when shopping for camera equipment.

It was posted on Abe's web page and it said they lost everything in their warehouse.

I would have loved to order from Adorama or B&H and I usually do if the purchase price is under $500 but since I live in NY and the 6D cost $2400, the tax was substantial enough to warrant ordering it out of state.

BTW, I just ordered it from Crutchfield and it will be here tomorrow morning.

I will keep everyone posted on the refund status... This should be interesting!!

Yeah. I understand about the taxes. But pretty soon, if the Senate has its way, we'll all be paying taxes for online purchases regardless if where the vendor is.

you can never go wrong with adorama b+h photo or KEH. both b=h and adorama have a customer service person as a member of the hog. Have also heard good things about calumet.

Senate? The Fair Merchant Act has already passed the Senate, and is now in the House. It's time to contact your Congressman and tell him your feelings about this bill. There are hidden problems with it that will further erode the Constitution. Keep up this type of legislation we will loose all our rights. The Patriot Act, is why we are having all the problems we have NOW, with all the Government snooping, TSA, and other items.

They moved from Brooklyn to NJ and it was their main warehouse not sure if the address. If you search the web you'll probably find out about although they are now saying none of their electronics were effected however on the original message they claimed everything in the warehouse was destroyed.

Having a warehouse of electronics destroyed must be a nightmare - for both the store and their insurance company.

Prior to the storm I ordered all camera and accessories from them. Now I get everything from B&H and sometimes from adorama.
