Modern technology and I don't get along real well. I have had Photoshop elements something for a few years and still have a difficult time getting pictures loaded onto it. I bought Lightroom 4 and downloaded it onto my new laptop. There is a 2 hour "class" being offered for $75.00 to manage your files and catalogs
thorough look at library and develope modules
a quick streamlined workflow
overview of the program and most useful features
So do you think this would help me????

Yes. Well... it can't hurt you. Okay, maybe financially... It really depends on how you learn. I purchased an online beginning photoshop class, and I learned more in those brief visual lessons than I would from reading 3 full length books about the subject. Of course, if you don't reinforce the stuff you learn with practice, then it's a waste. Only you can answer this question.

I would think it would help, but like mdorn said you must practice what you learn to reinforce it in your head.

Try taking the "s" off the https and see if it helps.

I'm a hands on learner. It is nearly impossible for me to learn anything just by reading. I have to get in there and get my hands dirty.. However, I did find a book series that makes it a lot easier for me. It is called 'Learning ______Visually, put in the blank what you want to learn. It doesn't have everything but it has a lot. Good luck

There are plenty of online tutorials available. Some are free like those from adobe.com (Julianne Kost ) . Some you pay for like those from Matt Kloskowski or George Jardine.

The advantage you have with a live seminar is that there is a human you can interact with and ask question of if you don't understand something. That is worth considering when you make your decision.

This is normally not an answer I would give and I do not mean to hijack your thread, but have you thought of using something really easy? There are many free choices to choose from, but Google's Picasa http://picasa.google.com is probably the easiest photography software you will ever use. It may even help you understand the others in time.

Removing "s" in "https" removes security block......

Ann, regarding your PSE, what version do you have, what camera and what kind of pictures (raw, jpg, etc)?

If you're referring to the ORGANIZE section of Elements - Don't Use It ... Yes, it is a little overwhelming and confusing. If you insist, then a class would probably help.
