The earth naturally goes thru warming and cooling trends. A small portion of the warming might be caused by humans but the earth adjusts to that. Burr it is clod here in Arizona. Must be the global warming.

"The man is a complete failure at everything he does."

You are wrong. He has succeeded at screwing up this country more than it already was.

I did not know about the MRS-1 so I did a little research on them and came up with this interesting article on them.

Love the old locomotives. Great photos. You can see the fire in the shay's firebox.

PH, they can't carry on a coherent conversation. Really.
I have read many books written by Leftists, and have yet to find one without errors and/or lies. Not one. I have been thinking about creating a thread illustrating quite a few such examples, by Carl Sagan, Richard Dawkins, and other flamers.

"Sex was invented." - Carl Sagan in Demon Haunted World
(NOT taken out of context.)

I think Al Gore invented Sex.

Margaret Higgins Sanger sought to "assist the race toward the elimination of the unfit."

Very interesting ideas. Who decides who is "unfit"?

Yes - I'll give this set of photos 5 thumbs up - here is a tad more infor on the location - than "just outside Yosemite"

Located in Jamestown, in the heart of California’s Gold Country about 100 miles southeast of Sacramento, Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is home to the Historic Jamestown Shops and Roundhouse—an intact and still-functioning steam locomotive repair and maintenance facility, portions of which date back to 1897. This one-of-a-kind attraction combines industrial heritage and railroad history with the lore of Hollywood’s film industry. The Railtown 1897 Interpretive Center, the authentic roundhouse and shops, and the Depot Store (a railroad specialty gift shop) are among the Park’s unique year-round offerings. Railtown 1897 State Historic Park is open daily (April-October, from 9:30 to 4:30 p.m.; November-March, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.

Visit www.Railtown1897.org for more information and current special events.

That is a great set.
I have found that if you talk to the people and they know that you are more than just a visitor but a real rail fan they are more likely to let you go places and see things.

I appreciate you posting these for us.

Great photos. A black steam engine in a building is very difficult to photograph. Great job.

Here is a video of it running.

The composition of the photo is very good.
The weeds in the center, the way the rail starts and curves to the center, and the trees all make for a very pleasing photo.
