Now that I know what I am doing. No it wasn't under exposed, it was night time I wanted it to look dark. Any slower shutter speed would have made it look like it was day time. I know that you have been shooting night shot for a long time your example it too blue for me. With all due respect.

I have a Canon 1DX, a 1DX MkII 5D MkIII and a 1D MkIII. At best I've carried three cameras, two from my home made harness and one connected to my side using my Peak Design camera hook. I was hard to hike too far with them. I can't imagine why in this day and age she would need that many cameras. Maybe she has a tripod on the other side?

There is footage from a drone on youtube, but I want to get the shot myself, my own perspective. Thanks anyway.

Thanks. I thought it was worth a try. I determined to get all Seven Teacups in one shot. Maybe I'll rent a helicopter? But that's $500/hr.

Sorry, it is in the South Sierra Nevada Mountains between Kernville and Johnsondale. Part of the Dry Meadow Creek that empties into the Kern River in California.

All good suggestions and I will look into them. Maybe it's just me, but I feel that I shouldn't be forced to pay more for a program that I already paid a lot of $$ in the first place. For those of you who don't know, I only had to pay 2g's for the camera due to insurance. I feel that adobe shouldn't take advantage of consumers by not having a fix for the new RAW program. It's like Microsoft forcing you to use win10 when you are happy with win7. Not an expert, but how hard would it be to have an update for the new Raw? Again Thank You all so much for the Advice.

Yes I did buy the Canon 1dx MkII. Love it! One problem it uses a Newer RAW system different than the 1DX. Had to call canon technical support. They just told me to download an update. I use Photoshop 6 and Light Room 5. Spent a lot of money on these products and don't want to pay $10 a month for CC. The update is for PS7 CC and up? Canon Forum said to convert to DNG, then into LightRoom or Photoshop. Anybody out there have a quicker way of converting the files or a better way to get them into LightRoom or Photoshop? Thank you for your responses.

I use Lexar Pro. On a couple of my older cards I was having issues, called Lexar and they was informed they have a lifetime warranty, just be sure to keep your receipts. Not only did they replace them, they upgraded them, because they didn't make my original cards anymore. Goodonya Lexar. (disclaimer: I don't work for Lexar or am I a pro).

Thanks a bunch, I think the part time use is a good idea, especially when hiking. I'll just keep in mind that I should clean the camera after each use. Thank you all so much.

This may have been covered before. I apologize if it has been asked before. Is the silicone covers good for the cameras or do they somehow hinder the function of the camera. I am a little hard on camera when or where I go hiking and it would really help if I got one as long as it doesn't ruin the camera's operation?

I modified a Lopro Camera vest with a back brace. Bought dog leashes and had quick connects sewed at the ends. Two lapels and vertical stitching on each shoulders. Even managed to attach a 3ltr water pack on the back. Works well and have been using it since 2011. Works well when I'm in Alaska or Yosemite. Carry a 1d mkiii with a 70-200 or 100 to 400 on the left and a 1dx with a 24-70mm. Never worry about changing lenses. Even with shoulder pads, my shoulders still get sore, but then again sometimes I take long hikes. This is the best pics I could find. Not usually the one in front of camera.

I went on an Honor Flight last September, Police escort everywhere we went(spoiled me), Lincoln memorial, Vietnam memorial, and Korean Memorial with in walking distance of each other WWII, Jefferson and Franklin memorial not that far away. Early morning is a great idea, starts getting crowded after 9am. And like Ken Stern, I regret not taking an uber or lyft to get that night shots. Had to settle on escorting two lovely twenty something to a couple of bars. Question how many monuments are in DC?
