thanks, I agree the the PP makes it better.
I'd appreciate any constructive criticism.
I was given the original mini as a gift and already have a spark. If you always wait for gps lock before taking off, the drone will hover in place if you release the controls eliminating most of the danger caused by pilot confusion regarding which way to move the sticks. A couple of flights in an open space should give a beginner enough experience to fly slowly in more obstacle congested areas. if in doubt, just release the controls. The Spark and the newer minis are amazing pieces of technology, the cameras are cellphone quality. The mini doesn't need a license in the US, but sadly can't be flown in natl parks.
On my Canon 5d3 and Tamron 150-600 G1, fine tuning increased my keepers from 2 to 8 in 10, shooting hummingbirds from 20 ft at 600mm near or wide open. I can't see the difference in the viewfinder, the calibrated lens AF is better than my eye and the viewfinder.
I love my Canon efs10-18. Very reasonable and great image quality. It's the lens I missed most when I went to a FF body.
I use the lower capacity Eneloops in AA for my speedlights. They outperform alkalines and hold their charge for a very long time. The speedlights cycle faster and last longer with them. Costco sometimes carries the kit with AA, AAA, C converters and a charger.
Don't think Canon makes a 150-600. I have the G1 Tamron 150-600 and have been very pleased with it. No issues - and I've used it quite a bit. I suspect the Canon lenses are generally better quality, but I have no complaints with the Tamron and Canon doesn't even make a similar zoom lens. The G2 is an improvement over the G1 that I have.
16gb would be the lower end for a 64 bit Windows10 machine 32gb would be better. The SSD drives make booting and loading programs much faster. SSD takes the place of or supplements a mechanical, magnetic hard drive for storage. Laptops can be as fast as desktops, given similar hardware, but are generally more expensive for the same performance. They also can be more convenient.
If the diffuser is being used, the speedlight doesnt zoom with the lens..my experience with that same model.
Purchased the MicroHD model several years ago and have been very happy with it. Former experience was with a SLR in an Ikelight housing. The Sealife is much more convenient. Closer is better. The fisheye lens makes out of water photography tricky.
