If the film was as old as the Argus C3 it may just be like me, foggy with age…that camera has to be close to 60-years old.

Welcome to a wonderful, although somewhat expensive, addiction. My only advice is to stay clear of the temptation to set it on full auto and leave it there. Pick a function and get comfortable using it before moving to the next and over the next year you will probably be comfortable with every function and wonder why they even put "auto" on the camera. Congratulations on your "leap of faith".

A 5-gallon jerry can full of Rye to ward off the chill…sounds like a fun outing. ;-)

To each, his own opinion. Mine is that this is art, not photo journalism and whatever it takes to create the desired image is OK. You are trying to evoke feelings and emotions, not record a historical moment.

Pretty shots but you need to level your camera, you're leaning a bit to the left in both shots…use a tripod if you can, it will make a nice improvement to some already lovely images.

Beautiful work and a fine example of using HDR to get a natural look rather than the over processed cartoon look we often see.

A beautiful image! I would like to see it in B&W…I think it will work well either way.

You may have set up the shot but she composed it in camera and chose the moment to press the shutter.

You're supposed to be a pro…you say you are. Simply get your tripod fixed, or borrow one and re-shoot similar shots at a different location. That eliminates all the copyright issues and avoids possibly hurting a friend's feelings and endangering a friendship.

I have been purchasing equipment from Adorama for years and have never had an issue. They are a good company and stand behind what they sell. If the sticker is such a big deal to you, you should return it for a replacement and I'm certain they will take care of it. I also think the proper way to have handled the situation would have been to call them first before even thinking about telling the world of your minor misfortune.

You did a favor for a friend, the pictures are being used for her intended purpose. It isn't like the pictures are going to be peddled all over the world. As soon as the house is sold they go to file 13. Your pictures weren't stolen, they are being used as intended…find something else to get your panties in a knot over.

I have one and frequently use it when framing my photographs. it works great for that purpose to get rid of dust so it should be good for filters also…just don't use it on your camera interior. The anti-static film brushes we used in the darkroom days also worked well if you can still find them.
