Years ago, 1971 to be exact, a professor I had in college, teaching photography taught that the moon is reflected sun light and exposure is the same as bright sunlight!
Lose the harsh red background on the snowflake. Remove the pole and wires. And I would opt for this picture. Otherwise, choose the scond one. It more closely reflects Christmas. In a modernistic manner, it resembles an angel.
I am a retired electrician. The half of the outlet you have the ups plugged into is switched the other is not. Plug the ups into the other half of the outlet and your problem should be solved.
Have you inserted a memory card?
Is anyone else noticing the almost endless barrage of propogada spewing from your TV. Stay safe, stay home! Wear a mask, stay 6 feet away! We are all in this together! Are these subtle messages that are also saying if you don't stay home you won't be safe...If I don't wear a mask and stay 6 feet away I am a danger to myself and everyone else...Yes we are all in this together, BUT are we being mind controlled by media outlets only telling us the side of the story THEY want us to hear, and to keep us under control through fear! If you haven't already drunk the koolaid watch the attached video, if doesn't at least make you think, then this country has been defeated without a shot being fired, and this is not the America I grew up in.
It's a Yellow Crowned Night Heron
It is definitely Killdeer. They nest on the ground and the second image is showing the momma bird acting like she is in distress leading you away from the nest.
More pictures from Shangri La. Here is a mating pair, first, displaying in courtship and then in nest building.
I took my bride of 42 years to the Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange, Tx. They have a bird blind set up so that you can view the nesting Herons, Egrets, Anhingas, and Cormorants.
More posts later. Shot with a Tamron 150-600mm@50yds/100% crop.

I am a member of the IBEW Electrical Union. Each local union negotiates their own benefit package in their own jurisdiction. In my local we have zero paid holidays, zero sick days, zero paid vacation, if you don't work you don't get paid.
That an ibis, probably immature white faced ibis.
From the part of the country you are from, it looks to me like it might be a common field sparrow.
I've seen cottonmouths many times over the years, with colors running from almost black to mottled grey to brown, with distinctive stripes to no stripes at all, that just looks like a brown water snake to me...but better safe than sorry...
Rich thought you might like to see another-the last of the WWI Dreadnaughts. The USS TEXAS (BB-35) served in both world wars and is now permanently docked at the San Jacinto Battlegrounds just south of Houston as a museum ship.

Here is one of a bee that I "Almost" captured.
