SirSnap: Have you tried running PS5.5 in compatibility mode? If not right click on the PS 5.5 icon from the drop down menu choose "Troubleshoot compatibility" a program will run saying it is checking for issues. The next screen has 2 options, 1) Try recommended settings 2) Troubleshoot Program. Choose option 1) next click "Test the program" PS 5.5 will attempt to run if it does successfully or not quit PS 5.5 click 'next' and take the option to apply these settings if it was successful or take option 2) try other settings if it was not. Normally the initial settings the program recommends will work. If you need to, you can choose a Windows OS all the way back to Windows XP to achieve compatibility. Hope this helps.

Under bright conditions you will need to buy a neutral density filter.....Shooting in the shade or early morning or late evening light you can achieve this fairly easy without any filters.......Here is a early morning shot that is one of my favorites... was shot at sunrise ISO 50, f/20, 1/5 sec

That's a beautiful image Coach

Cameta is an excellent company to do business with. There's nothing wrong with Adorama either. Personally, I would go with Cameta and pick up the extra warranty.

Is that Tokina lens for a canon camera?

GeorgiaPeach -- The Tokina 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens also comes in a Canon
compatible mount. Most third party lenses will make a model compatible with
the major camera manufacturers. This lens comes in Nikon and Canon. It fits
both the Canon and Nikon full frame and cropped sensor cameras. By the way
it is an excellent lens.

Certainly interesting, but I'm not sure what the tie-in is to this video. The Essex CV-9 was a fleet carrier.

You asked "(When you are in the middle of the Pacific, where do you go for replacement aircraft?)" -- that was what the answer was about, the Navy used the escort carriers to ferry replacement aircraft to bases and to the fleet carriers.

Thanks for sharing. One of those aspects of war that few of us ever have had to think about. I have to guess that the gore was so excessive that the ship's captain decided to ditch what was apparently a still-flyable aircraft. (When you are in the middle of the Pacific, where do you go for replacement aircraft?)

During WWII the Navy used Escort Carriers (CVE) also known as jeep carriers and baby-flattops. There were well over 100 of this type made with the first 50 or so being lend-leased to the Royal Navy. Escort carriers were approx 1/2 the size of the fleet carriers. They were usually made into carriers from the hulls of commercial ships. Their primary duties were to escort convoys, defending them from enemy threats such as submarines and planes. In the invasions of mainland Europe and Pacific islands, escort carriers provided air support to ground forces during amphibious operations. Escort carriers also served as backup aircraft transports for fleet carriers and ferried aircraft of all military services to points of delivery where ever needed.

I think they will combine the most commonly used photo tools in Photoshop with some of the more commonly used Lightroom tools, wrap it up in a new user interface and it will be the new default photography editor for their Cloud offerings(new to amateur photographers). I'm guessing that this new application will be cheaper than the current offering at around $5-7/month and Photoshop/Lightroom will go up to $20-25/month and sold as the Professional Photographer application. Just a WAG.
