Well, builders finally finished my rooftop sky lounge. When the skies are clear, wow. Come on over the next clear night and I'll open up the sky dome. Let the air out of your shoes and climb on up to the rooftop; take a left at the bottom of the Esher stairs.

Phisohex has been off the market for a number of years. The "hex" was hexochlorine compound, suspected, now perhaps proven, to cause cancer. Replaced by Hibi cleanse.

I would check; perhaps you might update, change or roll back the video driver, (software). It's possible an OS update changed the video driver.?

Awesome pix of the process! You know, with all the shows about "frame up" car restorations, I'm surprised no one has come up with a show about restoring the heavyweight vehicles; the real movers and shakers.

In the throes of a fit of lethargy, I played around with some images of fireworks captured while visiting Monroe, NC's Fourth of July festivities.

"Stacking" images with their 180-Degree "Flipped" versions.
Some horizontal, some vertical; some both.
Produced a certain asymmetrical symmetry; and resulted in some interesting composite images.

I'm sure others have tried this technique; Kudos to those that have perfected it. Apologies to those who feel I've borrowed one of "their" tricks...I just thought it was cool.
As they say, "It IS the sincerest form of flattery!

Have made two trips to Antelope Canyon, about 15 years apart. Neither was a "photog" tour. Went handheld both times. First trip picked us up at Gouldings Lodge, we were staying there, do not remember the outfit's name. Second trip, end of May, this year, we were part of a Road Scholar tour and used an outfit right in Page. Both trips ride out to the Canyon in the back of a truck, so unless you are in the lead truck, the ride can be dusty. I suggest you bring a bandana and tie it across you're nose & mouth, sort of outlaw style. I put my cameras in a large zip lock for the ride out & back. Had two DX Nikons. One with a 20-50 Sigma 2.8 and one with 10.5 Nikon fisheye. I got "separated" from our group, lagging behind shooting, as usual, and because I had two cameras around my neck, the Photog group thought I was with them. The guide did some sand/dust throws; shovelfuls into the air and up the walls, to enhance the light shafts and to create dust falls down the rock sides of canyon. Dust, a really fine dust, is a problem. A small puffer/ brush is a good accessory to have--keep checking constantly. The biggest change noted across the years was the amount of folks this most recent trip. At mid-day ish, that's when you get the light shafts, it's like rush hour. Crowded, elbow to elbow. The guides do try to keep a "buffer" between groups, but with the amount of people in what is a pretty small, some points a very narrow space it's almost impossible.
Trying to keep folks out of your frame can be challenging, almost as challenging as dealing with the exposure range, can be up to 10 EV...it will challenge your skills and your equipment. BUT, with a little luck, and skill, you can get some Amazing shots. It is an awesome shoot and a one-of-kind place. One photo pro, Peter Lik, sold an image for 6.5 Milliom Bucks! Enjoy your trip.

Yes, but does it have a backup camera?
(In either context of the phrase)

Your date may put you there before the full "Summer Crowds" so that is probably a bonus.
Explore, explore, explore then wander and explore some more.
Wide Angle and T-P lenses.
Valley, River, Meadows, Falls. The lakes at higher elevations up towards Tioga Pass.
The view from Glacier Point is quite awesome, IMHO.

Take plenty of camera media, (cards/film); more than you think you'll need. Extra batteries and or car charger for your battery type.

25 of 25 for me, but I see those very things screwed up daily! I think the virus infecting and affecting a lot of people's effective written speech is the spell checker so many of us have learned to rely on!
When someone types they are heading too the mall, that old spell checker just grins and says "hey, too is a perfectly good word"!

Sometimes, Spell Check can be your worst enema!

Don't worry, all is not lost. Heck, nothing gets lost these days. There are multiple copies of your password out there.

Check with the NSA, I'll bet they have it. Or, check with one of their Data Gathering attendants; Siri, Alexa. All you have to do is ask.

Perhaps your Samsung TV was watching you enter the password? Check with it...or your Thermostat, Refrigerator, Light Bulbs, etc.

Be prepared, some of these devices can be pretty stubborn. I had to water board Alexa last week to get the truth about the Moon landings. <Grin>

Oldschool Rules!

Traveling light as it were. Without all the weight of the usual Astro trappings; scopes, mounts, finders, guilders, alignments, EPs, CCDs, cables, battery pack(s), cool down times, etc., etc.

Nicely done!

I've got a Nikon 10.5 and find it to be a pretty cool tool for creativity.
Landscapes, close-up still-life stuff, Astrophotography, even caricature-ish portraits.
Think of it as the fun-house mirror in your lens bag.
