Thanks for posting the images! Looks like -2 gives the best disc and background, and +2 the best foreground. I definitely like the HDR result best, though.

The post-HDR photo wins by a bunch for me. It's almost like a Lomo picture. It would be interesting to see the other 6 images to see which gave the most detail naturally.

Wow, flowers are everybody's favorite subject. They never complain, always smile, and don't have a "good" side. These are all outstanding pictures, whether you're following the rules or throwing caution to the wind. Here are a few of mine from a Mother's Day bouquet.

All 3 are very nice, great colors, and well composed. #2 doesn't need grounding, it's like an optical illusion. Look at it one way and see the spearhead, another way it's like one of the floating land masses from Avatar. Totally cool, wish I'd taken it!

Yikes! Everyone Canon Nikon, Nikon Canon. Here's something different for you. PENTAX! The Pentax k-r is an excellent camera that has outstanding low light performance for any price, can use either the proprietary battery that comes with it, or AA batteries with a $40 adapter, 6 frames per second burst, and an in-camera HDR mode. If you don't mind spending a bit more, you can get the Pentax K-7, which is semi-pro with a weather resistant body. Go off the beaten (Canon Nikon, Nikon Canon) path and you'll be happy you did.
