First time out with the new to me Canon 1DX and the 70-200 f2.8. Still getting use to the new format from Nikon to Canon, but starting to really like this one.

Hello
Looking for a used Canon 1dx in good to excellent condition.
Thanks
Don

fredmiranda.com has a few listed right now on their site. With around 55-100k you will be in the $3000 mark. There is one on there with over 1 million clicks, 4 shutter replacements and 2 mirrors. Takes a licking and keeps on ticking! Check this site out. Most listings have great feedback from fellow photographers.

Last month I downsize my collection of film cameras. I unload 20 cameras. 35mm, 120mm film cameras. 18 of them were full running camera. I ran the cameras through two action house. One was local and the other was 2 hours drive from my house. Sale price of the cameras all over the place. Some I made 2x what I pay for them, Others I loss money. None of the cameras did I equal or beat the asking price one would find on E-Bay for any one of the cameras. Yes, I understand that at lest half of people at a auction are people who want to make money on a camera, not collector. With dealers would want to keep the price down, and people not wanting to use film cameras anymore. Value of film cameras is down, which is great for collector looking for old film cameras. But with everyone having a computer, looking at E-Bay, people see the asking price for a camera and said that what my camera value is. So in the end if you are a collector of film cameras and want to use them, do your homework you will find the camera you want. It like digging for gold by hand, you have to move a ton of earth to find ounce of gold.

I agree, since I have sold a few in the past as well. Still hanging on to my old Rollei A26. Hate to sell it. One of the first decent camera's my Dad gave to me. I still have his 1967 Nikon F with motor drive. Those were some tough steel bodied camera's!

So far, I certainly did not notice any extraordinary appetite for Juice in the Yungnuo's ( I use rechargeable Eneloops), actually my Canon 580 EX II's seems to eat them up faster (same batteries, also in the TT5's for them).
They do however work just fine together with all of them (I think they do have just a tiny tad more harshness in their light output)!

Again, the feedback on the Yungnuo's was not good. However, you seem to have had success with this product and I am glad to hear!
However, I am going with the Canon flash even though it is more expensive, with spending this much on the camera, just seems like a no brainer in my book.
Ordered an extra battery the other day and at $160, Canon is proud of them as well. Have purchased Wassabi's in the past with no problems, but on the 1Dx, it won't reveal the charge rate, so went the extra on that as well. Hey, it's an expensive hobby like my RC airplanes! lol

Hi Larry; having just been to Alaska, we drove, I took every lenses I owned in my Nikon system. The ones I used the most; 70-200 f2.8 and my 300 f2.8 prime. In fact, if I did it again, the 70-200 would be it. I now have switched to Canon and my go too lens, the 70-200 f2.8. You just cant find a better lens, IMHO!

I bought mine at the Canon Refurbished site. Looks new, and guaranteed for a year and cheaper than a new one!

Thank you! I have looked on Canon's site, but thought I might find a previous owner who is willing to part with a flash on an upgrade for their system. Thus the reason for the older 430exii and 580 systems.
I missed the deal on here the other day on a used 430exii flash.

Don't by any means want to bud into your business, but you might want to check out the Yungnuo 600 EX RT, I know its not what you asked for, but you can buy them probably a lot cheaper new than the ones you asked for - used! I have a few of them and paired them with my 600 RT's from Canon and can say they are good flashes and work good within the system! Like I said, don't want to bud in, but just mean it does not hurt to check them out!

I always appreciate any feedback on this and other sites. I certainly don't know it all and good advice is hard to come by sometimes. I did look at this flash, but saw so many bad reviews that I took it off the list. The most problematic was the battery usage. Can you comment on that?

Regards, Joe
