Looking for a gently used 430exii or 580exii flash for my Canon.

Thanks!

Don't by any means want to bud into your business, but you might want to check out the Yungnuo 600 EX RT, I know its not what you asked for, but you can buy them probably a lot cheaper new than the ones you asked for - used! I have a few of them and paired them with my 600 RT's from Canon and can say they are good flashes and work good within the system! Like I said, don't want to bud in, but just mean it does not hurt to check them out!

I bought mine at the Canon Refurbished site. Looks new, and guaranteed for a year and cheaper than a new one!

I always appreciate any feedback on this and other sites. I certainly don't know it all and good advice is hard to come by sometimes. I did look at this flash, but saw so many bad reviews that I took it off the list. The most problematic was the battery usage. Can you comment on that?

Regards, Joe

Thank you! I have looked on Canon's site, but thought I might find a previous owner who is willing to part with a flash on an upgrade for their system. Thus the reason for the older 430exii and 580 systems.
I missed the deal on here the other day on a used 430exii flash.

Hi Juice, I have a 580ex II, case and box. Same condition as the lens @ $250.

So far, I certainly did not notice any extraordinary appetite for Juice in the Yungnuo's ( I use rechargeable Eneloops), actually my Canon 580 EX II's seems to eat them up faster (same batteries, also in the TT5's for them).
They do however work just fine together with all of them (I think they do have just a tiny tad more harshness in their light output)!

Again, the feedback on the Yungnuo's was not good. However, you seem to have had success with this product and I am glad to hear!
However, I am going with the Canon flash even though it is more expensive, with spending this much on the camera, just seems like a no brainer in my book.
Ordered an extra battery the other day and at $160, Canon is proud of them as well. Have purchased Wassabi's in the past with no problems, but on the 1Dx, it won't reveal the charge rate, so went the extra on that as well. Hey, it's an expensive hobby like my RC airplanes! lol

I have a Canon 580 EXII that is for sale. I purchased new in 2012 but have used it a limited amount. I have the case, manual, an extra book on Canon flashes, the original box and a copy of the original invoice.

I am selling because I switched from Canon to Olympus gear. Asking $175.00. I will split paypal and postage. Assume about $15.00 to ship fed ex, so price to you would be $190. total to you.

You can send an e-mail to me at utecycle@comcast.net if you are interested.

Jerry

Just my two cents here. The Canon 580 can be used as a controller for another flash, the 430 won't do that. Also, I have a Yongnuo 560 III and while it is pretty good for the money and a good second flash I've used it along side my 430ex II and it does not cycle as fast and when shooting 30 or so shots it will miss fire about 10% of the time.

If talking camera batteries, I'm with you (I know a lot of people use 3rd party and are happy with them), but I just don't want to chance it, so I always use Canon's ( I have over a dozen and none has ever had an issue of any kind)!

Yes, I have used 3rd party batts as well with no problems! However, on the Canon 1Dx, the third party batts will not show the battery information, so bit the bullet and spent the $159 on the OEM. WOW!!!!

Thank you Joe. I really enjoyed working with you on my lens and flash and I am glad you are happy with them.
You are a great guy to do business with.
