Welcome to Day 82 :) .. Lately everybody has been posting a lot of closeups of flowers ..so I thought today we would do some closeups of critters. 2 legged, 4 legged, 8 legged .. makes no difference. They can be an accidental capture of flying critters ...I seem to get a lot of those... or pet portraits.. if it's a non-human animal and it finds it way in front of the camera ... let's see it.. up close and personal.
Here are a few examples to get us started.

;-) You just showin-off with your new toys. Think I'll have to get some too. Very nice.

I was thinking of starting a Gomer Pyle "Saprize - saprize" thread with this photo. You know when you take a photo and later you bring it up on the computer and start working with it and discover something in the detail you had not notice at the time the shutter was opened and shut.

In this one I was really focused on the interesting clock on the wall with all its bells and was working the statue in to just make me happy. When I got to the pp task I discovered to my surpise that Calvin Klein had introduced a new line of transparent jeans on the market. I did not know that!

Now seeing how much effort I would have to put into with all my other hobbies and toys I decided I'd just drop it in here and see if Photogirl could use it in her daily challenge somewhere along the line. You do an awesome job here PG. Highest acolades to you you deserve them.

So, did you buy a pair of the transparent jeans? If you did I hope you paid with transparent money.

Just got back from inspection for wife's car. While there I studied the color wheel---Yellow and Read does make Orange doesn't it?

That "Read" should read red. Spell chk wouldn't have caught it anyway.

Elaine, thanks for sharing the Capitols cherry blossoms. It is a bucket list item I'll probably never be able to cross off mine since timing is everything to catch them in full bloom. Great shots and thanks for letting me be there vicariously.

Marj, No it is actually also in Williamstad, Curcao. It was a very interesting treatment with the sculptures right on the wall.

RR, pg 1, don't know that I'd ever paint anything that big purple myself, but I do love that purple and green house to look at from this perspective. Great pick for a pic.

Rivernan, in case yours is on film I'll help and share my Curacao moments. Story goes that all the buildings were stark white at one time but that the governor suffered severe headaches. He decided that the harsh bright white environment in the carribean sun was the cause so directed that all building and homes should be painted some color other than white and all different. It is also rumored he owned the paint distribution rights for the island.

Just a few in my yard. Just added decomposed granit around the shed w/ a little touch up paint on the faux bench. Plants made it through the SA winter but need a little attention.

My favorite is the movable kind even when I shoot thru the blinds

O'boy what doesn't grab my brakes and get my attention!
1. A realy nice precast structure under construction always gets my attention....ask my wife.
2. Firemen at the new fire station nearby practicing their rope rescue skills.
3. Early March hill country blue bonnets will get me over to the side.
4. Bird riding an elk will usually stop me.
5. Old church steeple with a heavenly backdrop

I love the bird on the elk. How cute! And also the beautiful dramatic sky behind the steeple.... :-P
