Feel free to check over my photos

Mike / It looks like you shot these photos on auto. and the meter was fooled , Bracket your photos ,dont take just one and walk away, you just have to go back again, and again to get the right exposure.

Aneo...great shots! Some great shots are planned, some are by accident, but it doesn't matter. Learn from both types and improve your skills along the way. Ever seen those great shots in the National Geographic Magazines and wished you could do that? Me too, but I once read of how many rolls of film each photographer would normally shoot (back in the film days)just to get a few great shots! Sometimes it would be over 100 rolls!!! Made me feel better at least! :-) So your off to a great start, keep posting!

Thats the truth I have told people how many rolls it takes but they think I am making that up . but only old film people know.

I have never observed 5 hummers at a feeder before they dont get along with each other that well. the most that comes into my feeder is a total of one when another shows up they start fighting.

I bought a new Canon Speedlite and a defuser that attaches to the front of it. Not sure when to use the defuser. Any help would be appreciated.

Bracket your photos three with your defuser, and three without your defuser, then decide on the one you like the best.

amateur or professional or what ever you think you are you still have to sell them, there is a good market out there but you must work hard to find it, and then sell your pics. nobody will buy second rate pics when there are great pics to choos from. so call your self whatever no sale is no sale.and calling your self a pro. is just your pride giving you a tital.

I almost always try to find some kind of support, first concern is shutter speed, any thing below 1/60th of a second needs support.anything above works for me to hand hold and keep my elbows close to my ribs .then consider the subject and go from there. tri pods are good but not always possible.

I agree with gessman , in a matter of fact i also said that in a blog ,To many questions and not enough time with your face in your books , there is no way we can answer your problems . we know how but with years of learning on our own. sorry folks that is the way it is , so back to the books will help you a lot.

thank you Rocco, I have read this thread before , however I was just inquiring as to how many have ran into this problem (being that there are a lot of smart badges on the streets) and they are always willing to start a problem with someone or flex their powers.
any thank you .

Every body wants to be a pro. 25 years ago we old guys learned the hard way . we didnt have a web site to go and look at other peoples pics to see how we were doing.
We did however go to the photo shop buy more film and do it again as we were waiting for kodak to return our last 36 pics in two or three days. we didnt have anyone to ask or question as to what we should do, or how can we correct this problem. we did put our face in a book and read till our eys popped out, then go do it again.camers are easier now than then .most questions ask on this site are not easy to explain on a short course . sorry folks that is the way it is.

10 years past 911 . question? How many street photographers Have been questioned by local authoritys about what are you doing. why are you taking so many pics and so on. How many have been told they cant take any pics here . and been told to move on .
And how vigerous was the questioning . How many threats have been made to you ,as far as going to jail if you dont stop. THANK YOU.

their are to many questions that need to ask to help you with this problem. film speed, f stop, how far away from the subject ,how much did you have to crop to get that photo
and the questions go on. to start with camera crop before you shoot the picture. thats a start, dont use a big zoom lens and so on.
