In 1617 Sir Walter Raleigh commissioned a 240 ton English passenger galleon, for the last expedition to America she was later named the Angel Gabriel, She was a beauty. In 1635 sailing around Bristol Maine, carrying about 100 settlers she ran into a storm and she wrecked off of Pemaquid Point, off of the coast of Maine.
Although the area was settled for almost 200 years In May 18th, 1826 the it was determined that a light house had to be built and $4,000 was provided. The land was purchased for 90 dollars from the descendants of survivors of the Angel Gabriel ship wretch. The Pemaquid Point Lighthouse was constructed. I wonder how many lives where saved from this decision.
I guess a problem is there is water in the carburetor. Just trying to help.

What a wonderful and beautiful bird. I can't wait to see her fly again. Great job. Thank you for posting. Randy

Excellent Job. I love the reflections off the water and everything. Great job.

Linda from Maine,
I am so glad you've seen the light, or the results of a picture well done.
Yes RAW is so neat and even if you take the most pro shots around, when you need a little extra it can help you out quite a lot. I feel it's like being a member of AAA, it's not if you break down, it's when. And when they got you covered.
RAW when you need it it's there. And it's got you covered.
There have been a few times after I taken a picture it came out bad and so I've retaken it to find out that the RAW picture could have been tweak up a bit to help me too!
But great to hear your excitement.
Randy (originally from Maine but transplanted to PA)
This is a great shot. Thanks. It's a shot hanging on a wall in a travel agency saying, "Visit here, next!"
Thanks
Great shot, the problem with a squirrels life, spending all that time with the nuts just wears you out. Oh nuts!
Randy
Ok, I've been to Bidderford Pool, never found it, but now I have maps and I have Earthmate Delorme's GPS receiver so there is no excuse, except that I am transplanted in Western PA, but we do get back home when we can.
But a good picture you have.
Randy
Beautful. Great job. That's one light house I haven't been to in southern Maine. So thanks for showing it.
And to think of all those years I lived in Bidderford and Saco and never made it over there.

Great shots, they were in Latrobe, PA last weekend and I got some shots plane 7 practising over the house and of them over Latrobe. I though I wanted to so bad I didn't get to go see them in the airshow.
For a few of the shots I have check out this web site:

Looks Like A long range radar site. (200 - 250 miles) depending on the radar. Bedford AF Station in Virginia off the blue ridge parkway has one the same but now the FAA runs it. (An ARSR-3.) It fills in the gaps of radar coverage for Air Traffic for the Center which direct traffic between their starting points and the ending points.
The Radome (As it's called) the sound is amazing. On the platform you can whisper and one on the Radar Pedistal can hear you. You talk and the sound will hurt your ears. It's really neat.
Beautiful. It's always nice to see another beautiful picture from home.
Great shot.
Thank you
