Very nice BIF. I also like the light through the feathers. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Greg, glad you liked them.

A nice shot. It looks candid. And, never thought I'd say this, but yes, the B&W looks better.
Thanks Voss. I'm not surprised you liked the B&W

I do like the color version, but the BW is just special.
BTW, the angle is perfect. Not everything needs to be level with the horizon, sometimes it needs to balance with nature. That is very good balance! (Run a vertical line down just to the right side of his head, and then compare all the angles of arms and legs and so on.)
Thanks Apaflo, I appreciate the positive feedback. I was really surprised how well the B&W turned out, the tonal range is pleasing and definitely my favorite of the two. At first I thought the angle was awkward but after you pointed out the balance, I realize it really does not detract from the photo and adds to the overall effect.
Went down to the Boynton inlet today and saw these Jet Skis. The tide was going out the the inlet was choppy, so there was lots of spray. My shutter speed was too slow on a few, but I felt the blur gave an impression of speed. Hope you like them!
I was walking past this fellow with my camera in hand. He looked up, saw me, and said "hey man, take my picture"! I did, but must have had too much wine with dinner as I have no idea how I got this so crooked! However I thought his pose and expression were great and worthy of a post. He liked the photo and explained he wanted to show off his new jeans, just acquired! They looked to me like they had been washed 10,000 times and survived a motorcycle crash, but, hey, I'm a square old man! Two versions, which do you like better?
I was at the beach shooting photos of Jet Skis when the Pelican happened by. He was moving fast and I just had time to point and shoot! By some good fortune the camera focused and the shutter speed was fast enough to record a usable image (surprising considering the amount of camera and subject movement). I liked how the feathers were backlit, so thought these were worth a post.

I like your photo. If that place is run by the government, it could be the manager's car.
Maybe, but more likely belongs to a guy in the shelter, after making the payments on that puppy he probably couldn't pay the rent/mortgage and is now homeless. To make matters worse, the car is too small to sleep in!
Great photo!

Very nice!
I like them just the way they are.
Appreciate the compliment Franku! Did try one in B&W and have to admit it does change the dynamic! What did you think of it?

Nice street series--I agree with the b&w suggestion.
Thanks John, please see B&W one above and let me know what you think of it.

I'm curious. Have you thought about converting any of these to black and white? This really is a good collection.
Thanks Voss. You did get me thinking about B&W so I tried it and liked the following one best. By removing the color, it seemed to give the subject more "pop". Let me know what you think.
I was in a dimly lit restaurant and noticed that folks at nearby tables were all staring at their phones! Wonder if they were texting across the table! Cranked up the camera to ISO 6400 and shot these.
Looks like what the guy on the left lost was gained by the girl on the right!
Great series of photos Voss; well done!
