Pelican in Flight

I was at the beach shooting photos of Jet Skis when the Pelican happened by. He was moving fast and I just had time to point and shoot! By some good fortune the camera focused and the shutter speed was fast enough to record a usable image (surprising considering the amount of camera and subject movement). I liked how the feathers were backlit, so thought these were worth a post.
