Hello ughg members - I had posted this question before and was leaning toward buying the d610 because it's a full frame compared to the d7200 which is crpped frame.I recently read a comsumer report on electronics, specifically on cameras; I noticed thay comsimer report rated the d7200 # 5 compared to d610 which is rated #23 on the review. Any comment or crtique would be appreciated. Thanks

purpose of the lens is to do pix at sports, vacation, cruises, and to some extent weddings. I am also considering a wide angle lens perhaps a 20mm

Hi Stan,
" It isn't long enough to be useful, nor wide enough to be interesting--very limited focal range'
Should I get a different lens instead?
Thanks
Ray

Sometime ago I had posted seeking members opinion/advise on purchasing a new lens for D610 camera. I am interested in 28-70 f/2.8 lens. The Nikon brand is almost $1,800.00 - I had seen suggestions and recommendations on the blog about Tamron or Tokina lens (not sure which) that are very buy and performed well. Looking forward to hearing from members.

I have a follow up question in regards to camera lens, specifically the 24-70 F2.8 lens. I have seen a couple of thoughts expressed on the Tamron but how compared is the Tamron to the sigma for a Nikon mount. The Nikon 24-70 is much more expensive and I understand from a few hoggers that the Tamron is a sharp lens, Your thoughts please.
