Think workflow, if you struggle with cataloging your photos then LR should be explored, it does a great job of organizing. If you move things around then it makes life difficult. As far as processing I've used both, I kind of migrate to camera raw over LR however both are equally as good. PS is probably good for you if you've mastred it, if not LR is pretty easy to learn. Probably didn't answer your question but threw some more for you to think about out there.

After a few days of rain, wind, ugly wet Seattle weather I was having a photography jones so I stepped out this evening to capture the sunset in the calm over Puget Sound as the sun set over Vashon Island. Shot from my deck #1 - Tug Pulls Crane and #3 Peaceful Sunset- 1/100 sec at 7.1, ISO 200, 230mm (Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6), #2 Sunset Over The Island - 1/100 sec at f/5.0, ISO 200, 185mm (Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5 - 5.6).

Give me your best assessment, let me know what I could do better.

Here is an article on Cityscape - maybe that will help your group define Landscape.

I've grappled with the same question in my own catalog definition. I have recently restructured and have separated the two. I now have a category Landscape which consists of photos of natural scenery and I have a category of Cityscape which consists of skylines and city type photos. I have also separated Street out of Cityscapes which represent more of a people "Street" perspective for photos. So I guess I would have to side with a lot of the dialog here and say Landscape is different than Cityscape.

Amazon is a great place to find accessories like this, I bought one for my old D70 that worked well there however I did loose it somewhere along the journey.

I got "The Three Legged Thing-Dave", from Kenmore Camera in Seattle. It folds over onto itself so it gets very short, is lightweight and study, comes with a cool ball head and quick release bra key for the camera, should check it out. It was recommended over the more expensive Monfrotto's. B&H has the base model for $220, I believe I paid about that for the one I have.

I just created my profile, been reading stuff here for about a month, seems like a good place to get information and share. Am retired and have a lot of time to refine my photography skills so hopefully I can contribute as well as learn and explore. Look forward to getting to know some of you.
