Hello Folks,
Does anyone have any suggestions for a "good" eye cup for D7100 ?
From what I see on Nikons website, they only have one for the FX models.
Could use something to keep my big nose off the LCD screen.
Thanks.
Frank

Amazon is a great place to find accessories like this, I bought one for my old D70 that worked well there however I did loose it somewhere along the journey.

Thanks Guys,
I guess there isn't much call for it or Nikon would have it available for DX formats as well as FX.

Is there a difference between an FX body & a DX body that would make an eye cup not as popular an accessory for a DX owner?

From what I see on the Nikon site, I guess the FX models have round viewfinders as opposed to the DX rectangle. The only one Nikon sells are compatible with the round viewfinder.

I don't understand why you keep going on and on about what Nikon sells and doesn't sell. You've been given two good sources for eyecups that fit your camera (and mine). If you don't like those suggestions, end the thread and research yourself.

Ok, that resolves that... but I used a eye cup from China / EBAY on my D5100 and my D7100 - worked out fine till I lost it...I would not be too worried about a Nikon branded eye cup....

Geez, I didn't think I was going "on & on", I already ordered the Vello per your suggestion, I was just explaining to the gentleman what I saw on the Nikon site at his request. Sorry! :(

The Vello looks good to me... I need to replace the one I lost and it looks plenty good.

Nikon used to make an adapter that slid over the rectangular eyepiece and accepted screw-in accessories , but it is apparently discontinued. I believe it was the DK-7, but mine has no numbers, only Nikon Japan. I use it to mount a DR-5 on my Fuji S3-Pro.

You don't need to apologize to anyone. The way it works here is that if anyone doesn't like a particular thread, they are free to move on and ignore it. After you're here awhile, you will make up your own mind as to which ones you'll ignore. Welcome to the forum! The majority here do try to help.
