You have to ask yourself why the military finds it necessary to practice in and around American cities? Actually the question can be answered by the military's own information: they are practicing in order to be able to quickly and efficiently lock down any American city in case of a terrorist attack...foreign OR domestic.
They are very good at it already. The city of Boston was locked airtight in less than eight hours after the marathon bombing. Federal troops were deployed, on position, and in control in that short of time. They did not have to bring most of the equipment and arms because it was already in place. For nearly thirty years the government has been giving massive amounts of military grade weapons and equipment to local law enforcement agencies. These come with the stipulation that in case of emergency federal troops will have immediate access.
Now all this sounds well and good, who is for letting terrorists take over? The fly in the ointment is who gets to declare what a terrorist is. When will it become the norm to declare that open protest by citizens is an act of terrorism? The Constitution strictly prohibits the deployment of federal military troops within its border except under the most dire circumstances and a state of emergency is declared by the President.
Americans are being lulled into accepting that no such declaration is necessary, simply have the government say something is bad, and then squash it. Makes the ignorant feel warm, fuzzy, and oh so safe.
Think about this, non of this is hyperbole, not even a rant....just describing what exists today.

Remember or look up Blair Mountain federal troops were used against US citizens while they marched to demonstrate against the Coal companies.
