We stood around for hours trying to figure out how this happened. My theory is a UFO sent down a twisting beam. Some standing around thought it might be the Mothman got mad and twisted it. You know he hangs around these WV mountains. Or on the other hand it could be a new secret weapon. Anyone got a better ideal. Hope to hear some better stories from you guys. Oh forgot to mention the park ranger stopped while we were looking. Ask what was going on, we told him he just shook his head and drove off. I think I heard the word idiots as he drove off. I guess he thought idiots did it. Guess we will go back next week with another case of beer and see what other mysteries we can find.

I think Bigfoot pulled it down to get at some animal in the upper branches. In the process, he had to twist the trunk to disorient the critter.
