Just be careful. It has been reported that News journalist have been robbed of their video cameras at gunpoint. One happened in San Francisco. Someone jumped out of a car in daylight hours, pointed gun at video camera man. Stole $40,000 camera and hopped back in car. Camera gone.

The Blue Cut Fire destroyed the iconic Summit Inn Diner on Route 66. It was frequently visited by John Wayne and Elvis Presley. It had a 1950s theme inside. The owner says he will rebuild. However, some original items are irreplaceable.

I remembered when you posted your purchase of this camera and got a good deal for about $350, barely used. I have a Bridge Nikon L840, no viewfinder, that is a backup to my DSLR. I'm seriously thinking about selling it to get a Canon SX60. A focal length of 1355mm is only exceeded by Nikon's P900, 2000mm. Great shots too.

This is bad news for a premier camera store with 35 employees and a repair facility. I go everywhere and see teenagers and adults with iPhones and smartphones, and they take very good photos. The online sales are convenient. You just sit at your computer and order, and wait a couple of days or so, and it's delivered to your front door by UPS. Also local Best Buy Stores and Amazon sell an awful lot of cameras. So the competition is fierce nowadays, even in the areas that have lots of Ferrari's and Porches.

Blockbuster Video bit the bullet because they were the biggest, and no one would dare try to uproot them. Netflix is a lot better than Blockbuster ever was. Decreasing their inventory I'm sure was a pure business decision.

Congratulations on your new Nikon D500. Your Sony a7r2 full frame mirrorless is also a excellent camera. You're the first I noticed that purchased the D500 and owning a Sony as your main camera. Some have owned the same brand such as a Nikon D810 or a DX D7200. Now you have E-mount and F-mount lenses to purchase.

Nikon's new D3400 did not impress me as a successor to the D3300, unless you're a big fan of Bluetooth. Which was an added feature.

Hats off to Canon. There are select Canon DSLR cameras that have the anti-flicker mode. If anyone knows of another brand name DSLR camera, please list the models. It seems that the flicker from fluorescent lights have indoor sports/action problems. A flash unit seemingly is the cure. Speedlights are not allowed at certain indoor sports facilities in my community. Sadly.

BTW, Bryan Peterson has his 4th edition of Understanding Exposure currently being sold at Amazon for $16.29, in case anyone is interested.

I'm going out to shoot some pics at a golf tournament and have an old Nikon D60 with the kit lens. I won't be taking any action shots, but more group still than anything else. Should I take my flash for filler light? What about investing a few dollars in a filter, can't remember the name, to get better shots with a sky background? I look forward to your input.

What is your kit lens. The 18-55mm?

You really did a great job capturing those photos. Sharp as can be.

A reasonable offer? What is reasonable to me, may be insulting to you. Why don't you just do some homework, find out what the used equipment you have is selling for, then put a price on your gear?

The only difference, this tragedy happened in the Financial Mecca of the World, New York City, and the home of the United Nations. It was worse than the Pearl Harbor Attack in Hawaii in casualties. While both were one day events, never before have so many civilians been attacked and killed. One was a military attack, the other a civilian attack. The military's job is to protect the nation, which are civilians. When a Soldier or Marine goes off to war, it is to protect his mother, brother and all America. Is it a double standard? Yes it is, but nothing new. Just read about the discrepancies at the Veterans Hospital in Arizona. Shameful.

Moose in Alaska get hit by trains and trucks periodically. The Fish and Game sometimes donate the meat to the poor areas of the community if the meat is still fresh. Unusual shot, but a great one.
