I subscribe to both Netflix and Hulu, If Netflix's content declines, and there's a market for what they don't have now, Someone's going to fill that market. No one is "king" for ever. I'll switch to whoever has the programming I want. The internet changes too fast to have any notion of "brand loyalty".

I also subscribe to both Netflix and Yahoo. Both have alot of movies and tv programming. I think that both are having a problem finding good material. I find myself moving toward foreign movies and tv on both sites. Even though it has captions, they seem to be more wholesome, interesting and entertaining. The subtitled english can be a hoot.
Blockbuster Video bit the bullet because they were the biggest, and no one would dare try to uproot them. Netflix is a lot better than Blockbuster ever was. Decreasing their inventory I'm sure was a pure business decision.
I have Netflix, I don't watch enough movies, maybe one a month, to worry about it.

I dumped Netflix a year ago because I could never find a movie worth watching. Looks like it's gotten worse.

That can be a problem, with so many 1 and 2 star movies.
Someone told me there is greater choice and more availability if you are using the mail/DVDs rather than streaming. Don't know, but I would agree streaming choices are pretty limited.

We use Redbox a lot also, but all the movies are divided among so many streaming services none of them are really worth what they charge any more. Amazon Prime now requires you to subscribe to Showtime as well to view a lot of their movies!
Netflix used to have first run movies, most shortly after the DVD was released to the stores; even before HBO and those channels had them. Now it's hard to get a decent movie that came out even three or four years ago on there. And then they went and jacked the price the other month. I am a Netflix subscriber, but am highly considering dumping them. I agree with you Jerry, they keep getting less and less, the quality of what is offered goes down and the price goes up. Sometimes the only way to get corporates attention is to hit them in their billion dollars pockets.

Oooh! I didn't know that. I wonder if they will be cutting back on any other Prime benefits. I know what you mean about the subscribing. There are so many streaming services, and subscribing to all of them would break my modest bank.
Anyone use Amazon Prime movies?
I just record most of the tv programs, then never watch live. Speed thru the commercials and it's almost like a movie. Also, I can watch an hour program in 40 minutes. Think of that. 20 minutes of commercials every hour.

Rarely. I got into the Netflix habit. If you mean movies that Amazon has made, then never.
