Is the card locked? Once in a while, I'll slide the little switch on my card without noticing.

Further to my post -"Update" a few days ago. I have decided based on limited finances to go for a Nikon d3300 and AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED- Sorry about the Caps I'm not shouting -copied and pasted this from the Nikon site. Anyway my question to anyone who picks this up is as follows. Are the two bits of kit compatible - I have read suggestions that they may not be, so I thought I would run this by you guys : :
Further to my post -"Update" a few days ... (show quote)

From the B&H page for this lens...

Compatible Cameras
D3000-series cameras from the D3300 and later
D5000-series cameras from the D5200 and later
D7000-series cameras from the D7100 and later
D500
Compatible cameras may require a firmware update

I don’t recall seeing “remove the lens before installing firmware” in the instructions Nikon provides. I will check again. After the update all my Nikon lenses worked properly, only the Sigma would not autofocus.

Recently, Nikon released firmware upgrade LD 2.017. I have a D500 and a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 DXII. I heard from another UHH that his Sigma lens was no longer doing autofocus. All my other lenses are Nikon's and would like to apply the upgrade, but I would not want my wide angle to stop working. Has anyone applying this upgrade has this Tokina lens? If so, have you noticed any adverse reaction afterwards? -Thanks.

My Df has 2.017 and the Sigma 70-200 f2.8 autofocus works fine.

My post office told me to use

My name
My street address
Box #
City, State
My Zip (same as post office)

This has solved all problems of needing a street address for my orders and everything ends up at my PO box.

My wife overheard me on various occasions talking about the Tamron 18-400. She surprised me with one in Nikon mount for my birthday. Unfortunately I shoot Pentax so I have to buy a Nikon body with or without a lens. Any advice? IMHO the 3000 series would be too basic, and a D500 too expensive. I am leaning towards the 5000 or 7000 series.

I just bought the Tamron 18-400 for my D7100 and they make a great combination. I don't think I will being taking this lens off the camera.

DxO PhotoLab now works with Lightroom Classic CC. I just installed the DxO PhotoLab update and like what I see.

A Yashica Electro 35 GSN rangefinder film camera...

That brought back some fond memories. My first 35mm camera way back in my Navy days. Took a lot of real nice shots with it before taking the plunge about a year later for a SLR. Still have mine although I don't shoot with film any more. Might have to buy a few rolls and take it out along with the old Petri and Pentax ME Super.

I take photos of the ships on the great lakes and have created folders for each ship. I have LR set up to create sub-folders and rename my photos when I import them. This is what the filenames look like.

2) The camera used
