I tried to install an updated version of G'MIC on my Windows 8.1 laptop. I get a box which says 'libgdk-win32-2.-0.dll not found'.
I did a search online and found lots of software to 'cure' the problem, but lots more sites telling me that these offered fixes are scams, which install malware. In addition, I was astonished to discover the Windows 8.1 does not allow me to roll back to an earlier date. Ugh!
Being in my 80th year, and not computer savvy beyond the basics, I desperately need the advice of the computer experts here. Thanks in advance for your expert advice.

Win 8.1 does allow Restore/Roll Backs, assuming you have not turned this feature off.
Go to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7vQx1fDLvc and the video will walk you through finding and using Restore in Win 8.1

Did you uninstall the old version of G'MIC before installing the updated version?
If so, you may have also uninstalled the 'libgdk-win32-2.-0.dll' which is actually part of the GDK program (GIMP Drawing Kit) and is linked to by G'MIC.
GIMP forum recommends installing newer on top of older programs.
A reinstall or updating of the GDK should may put things back.

These 3 pictures are of a Roma Tomato from 1 of the plants growing on our patio. It's about 2½" long. Several of them exhibit the same problem. Do any of our agriculturally minded Hoggers have any idea what's going on with this fruit?

It looks like Tomato Blossom Rot.

Can anyone recommend a good one at a reasonable price?

Go to: http://dashcamtalk.com/ and read the reviews on the many dash cams available.

I have the Street Guardian SG9665GC (around $200) with a 64 GB micro card for about 8 hours recording and am more than pleased.
It mounts flush to the windshield (behind my rear view mirror), doesn't hang down in your line of sight like many of the cheaper ones do and is barely noticeable from outside the car.

Here's a position paper from a group of conservative Republicans who find Trump's candidacy repugnant and dangerous to the country. An excellent read, if the Trump supporters dare to consider what the authors present!

I am not a great admirer of Ms Clinton, but in the words of these Republicans she is by far a better choice for the President of the U S and the leader of the free world than is the dangerous demagogue Donald Trump.

Nope, that wasn't what was written.
"(Likewise, but parenthetically at this time, we believe Hillary Clinton also is manifestly unfit for office. We are both #NeverTrump and #NeverHillary. But there are nearly four months available to make the case against Secretary Clinton, and we urgently need somebody other than Trump to make it.)

And "...manifestly unfit..." doesn't mean "...by far a better choice for the President...".

Does anyone know how I can download Picasa. I have been using it for years. Now since Google Chrome took over every time i try to download it it goes to Google pictures. Will not let me down load Picasa.

Google has stopped supporting Picasa and no longer offers it for download.
They have replaced it with their new program, Google Photos.
All the details are available here: http://googlephotos.blogspot.ca/?hl=en_US

You can still download a copy of Picasa 3.9 B 141.259 at: http://filehippo.com/download_picasa/ if you hurry.

Get you a box of medium size safety pins and pin mated socks together and you won't lose one. You will always have the right color shade. I have done it for years and it really works. Keep extra pins where you pull your socks off especially if is isn't where you put them on. I have pins on my travel kit just in case I need one away from home.

All my younger grandchildren (under 12) deliberately wear mismatched socks as some kind of fun, fashion statement.

Well I'll do something that you will NEVER see one of your liberal ilk do .. and that is to own up to my mistake. In the last couple of days, I have researched that photo, and I agree now with whoever pointed out that it was of Andrea Merkle and not Hillary Rodham Rodham.
So -- if I had it within my powers, which I don't because this forum does not allow one to delete a message or a thread after one hour, I would delete this whole thread.

I therefore ask the administrator to delete the thread or at least my posts.

It would be nice to see reciprocal action on the part of Leftists when they smear people on the right, like Donald Trump. I well remember the pictures posted of George Bush in Nazi uniform, with a Hitler mustache. Wouldn't you admit that too was "Offering false evidence is an insult to the voting public and proves only your prejudice."?
Well I'll do something that you will NEVER see one... (show quote)

DerBiermeister, pointing out that the photo was not actually of HRC doesn’t paint me Liberal. I’m just someone who may speak up when seeing something I know is false, being passed off as a truth. I would react the same way if I saw similar allegations about The Donald.

Yes, it would be nice to see reciprocal actions on the part of anyone, left, right or center, who may smear another with false (even if accidental) allegations.

As for the George Bush photoshop picture (Nazi uniform and Hitler mustache) it did express a prejudiced, maybe libelous, opinion but not a truth, just as political cartoons grossly exaggerate people’s features to affect your emotions about them.

Don't you think the American voting public has a right to know that one of the two finalists for the White House is gay? You do of course realize that homosexuality is a sickness, right?
Why is she pretending to be something she is not? Ellen DeGeneres came clean, as have many other celebrities. Why not the possible first woman President? If she came clean, even I would grant her some respect.

And PLEAZZZE -- don't tell me it is none of our business. Not when her hubby Bill had hummers in the Oval Office with his intern on her knees under the desk. I can only imagine what Hillary would do to soil the Lincoln Bedroom.

The other dark haired woman is not Huma Abedin, but you knew that.

Certainly the American voting public has a right of access to open and honest information on all candidates.

Offering false evidence is an insult to the voting public and proves only your prejudice.

How does bringing up what others (in this case, her husband) did or did not do prove your allegation?

No matter how righteous or noble your cause may be, lies and deceptions can never be excused.

Of course he does, but his purpose is not in support of truth or factual news but the spread of disinformation.

A simple case of ends justifying the means. He said so.

Here you have a woman (Huma) who is deeply in love with the bitch, and wants nothing more than to be in her arms. On the other side, is the Hildabeast -- and she could care less. All she wants to do is to text on her smartphone -- or maybe she is reading an email.

Pictures are worth a thousand words.
Just take a CLOSE look at this picture br br img... (show quote)

What you show here is a still shot from a video commercial released in 2015 by Straight magazine, Germany, of an actress lookalike of Chancellor Angela Merkel.

In quotes from Stern magazine on this "candid" still shot and the commercial:

"Angela Merkel cuddling with another woman? This commercial for the magazine "straight" makes a stir.

"It is well known: Angela Merkel is not a proponent of gay marriage or marriage for all, and as we then thought, ok, if she will not, then we do it in a satirical style a little willing and make a spot with her as she kisses a woman, we find the fact not bad at all."

Sorry but it isn't of the Hildabeast.

A friend sent me a link to what is tempting. It is a Uniden CAM250 Full HD Dash Camera now for $39.99 from $79.99. Even for $80 can one expect much. The link is to electronics.woot.com. Opinions?

Google the Uniden Cam250 on Youtube for videos reviewing it and other dash cams.
Techmoan, a British site, http://www.techmoan.com/ also reviews various dash cams he personally tests in his own cars.
Dashcam Talk, http://dashcamtalk.com/ has reviews on a ton of dash cams and a busy Forum where dash cams are critiqued by their owners.
You should really research what is available and what to look for before you buy.

My personal choice was a Street Guardian SG9665GC. I've had it for year, very discreet, the HD video and GPS are great.
Some cams come with a second camera for mounting in the rear window and that will be my next choice. Cams with a second lens looking back into the car are only handy for watching your passengers and pretty well useless for recording rear traffic.
