I have had trouble viewing any video i have shot with the d7000. It shows to be grainy , but worse it doesnt flow thru. it stops repeatedly and sticks thruout the whole video. i shot them with a 10 class memory card. and am using quicktime movie to open up. any suggestions, please??

I agree, I like some of the black and white w a little color.i loved it at first , now just for certain things. here and there. i like my tattoo pic. and i really do like when the photos resemble a painting. for certain stuff. but not everthing.sometimes things are just fun. doesnt mean i am going to frame it and hand it up in my house but i might.....

it is simple
in Photoshop make duplicate layer as background copy then convert one to B&W take eraser and erase B&W layer anywhere you want it,and you'll get that part in color and shades of color in original,
as I said -simple

Did you mean "fun is fine, but you're wasting my time''? I was merely trying to make the point that the effect is easy to accomplish. The original photo, which I would want the world to see is the unedited version attached.

Yeah - and THAT is a really nice image!
You sure read into things stuff that is not there. I was merely noting that making the bucket the focus of attention makes no sense.[/quote]

I would be careful with the apps. i mean if you want to actually print it ususally the image is not saved to the best pixels for printing. also I think it is cool on here that there is so many ways to do the same thing of photoshop. keep them coming, I may be doing something the hard way when i find it there is such an easier way.

I have not done this with eyes but have with other images:
Color image>duplicate layer>convert to BW> Lower opacity to a workable level(able to see the color)> erase the BW off the color very carefully( I increase the size of the photo to 200% so I can work with a finer brush) remember you can always go back a move or more in the history pallet.
Good luck this is a fun type project,
Harvey

so when i open up the pictures , it first says get pictures from your camera, then they are clicked or not clicked to download.there is no option to right click on pics to delete just some. only the delete all pics from your camera. should i try another program to download perhaps. i am just using the regular computer settings.

personally, i am not a professional by the way but i would take a few of one pose in the portrait mode and then switch over while they are in the same pose and try some of the manual stuff. may take longer but then you can decide in PP what you like better. and it will give you practice. if they are friends they will not mind.

yes, that is true. i am just so worried about losing pics. i do download them all, sort them out. put them on my hard drive and an external hard drive as well. but if something disastrous happened i would like to at lease have my favorites on a memory card as backup. i know memory cards do not last forever and i am not planning on keeping them there forever, just until something better comes along to store them on.it is just for my piece of mind. saying i am not a serious photographer because i do that is a bit rude in my opinion.
