Crumpler is what I have currently and I like it. Never used the straps that came with cameras. Favorite strap was Disney with Mickey Mouse that looked like a film clip and had places for 35mm film cans, daughter took it when she got my old DLSR years ago.

Not really, both are good. And sometimes not so good, but overall the history of both has proven them more then successful and excellent equipment for the skilled user. I'm a Canon user, but anyone offering me a current model Nikon to use I think I'd enjoy working with that.

Agreed, the photo is up to the photographer, knowledge/experience, skill with equipment you use, and some luck.

I'm on my 4th Canon since 2005, 1st as Rebel XT, still working daughter uses it, 2nd was T1i still working, son in law has that, 3rd was 7Dmk2 which I sold after 2 years and still in excellent condition. Now have a 6Dmk2 and finding this really easy and fun..

Wondering, does using Dropbox or other internet options provide same quality as a DVD or other hard media?

Both Canon and Nikon are getting serious about mirrorless, but for now not a real option. For me I'll stick with the Canon DSLR and all the glass I have, down the line if Canon gets really serious may jump but right now I don't see a weight difference or up front cost a virtue that's worth change.

Haha! I've been with Canon since 2005 (first a Rebel XT). Staying with Canon now as have too much invested, learning and lenses but also fairly happy. FYI son in law during same time has had 3 Nikons either break our just die, but then he's a professional...

Thanks, what I've seen in reviews is starting out with PS/LR can be quite difficult learning curve to start processing RAW. Maybe this assumption is wrong (?) I don't know.
I really want something I can use without allot of dealing with program learning. I worked in the computer industry for 36 years and frankly don't want to diagnose issues any more then have to nowadays.

I'm just starting to think processing in RAW and have no investment in Adobe, etc. After reading some reviews seems Luminar might be a good option, noting some discussion in past but with MAC platform. So wondering if anyone using Luminar on Windows platform and how's it working (fairly new to Microsoft Windows), I have Windows 10 Pro.

Welcome! I'm new here also. I also remember my darkroom days, those first in USAF, then in college taking "every" available photo course available (late 1970s).

I'm to new to full frame to provide any opinions. Also just starting to go RAW. In past I've considered options to improve on original pictures tasteless, but see sense in bringing out definition that will improve picture. Thing is a JPEG image can only be tampered with so much, which I think is good.

Been into photography since 1969 with Nikon rangefinder, 1st SLR was Minolta SRT101 in 1970. 1st DSLT was Canon XT in 2005, then T1i, both passed down to kids and still in use, then 7Dmk2 which I recently sold and now have 6Dmk2. Stayed with Canon due to decent lenses I got over years and not sorry about it.
Over the years shot weddings and some portraits, but really like scenic vistas.
