I really like the one I got from Sunwayfoto, it fits my camera and the arca swiss plate on my tripod head perfectly. They have one here http://www.sunwayfoto.com/e_goodsDetail.aspx?gId=1202 that would fit the camera you were asking about. I find it invaluable shooting panoramas since I shoot them in portrait orientation.

Nice! I live about 60 miles south of this falls. Do you have to hike in? If so, is it an easy or challenging hike? (I'm 65, but healthy)

It’s an easy hike of about 2 miles total in and out. I’m 68 (I do walk a lot) and had zero issues. I would recommend a hiking pole/stick just to get down to the falls. You have a ton of waterfalls in that area. Enjoy.

What a wasted post. Why not tell us what you had for breakfast and what your doing today. At least it would add some interest. What a waste.

Talk about a wasted post, your reply is the epitome of a wasted post.

Hopefully that storm didn't do any damage over there. Enjoy the new lens.

I use the Double the Distance Method that I read about on Photography Life. I found it simpler, quicker and more reliable than other methods. Below are links to a basic explanation of the method, and a video in which Spencer Cox demonstrates using Double the Distance in the story behind a photo he recently took in Great Sand Dunes National Park.

Manny, the park Naturalist at Cheaha State Park, leads a waterfall hike a few times a year. They visit 6 different waterfalls (CCC, Cheaha, Burns Slide and the three High Falls, in case you're not already familiar with them) plus she is a wealth of information about the mountain. Enjoy your great camera.

Funny you should mention Cheaha... one of my fav. areas is Chinnabee rec. area near the State park and the Lake Chinnabee silent trail. Lots of nice stuff in the southern Appalachians. Thanks for your comments. Bob

Now that you know your camera does not have a DOF button, you can download one of two APP's, Field Tools or Photo Pills. You enter the "F" stop you want to use and the app will give you the DOF. Both of these APP's are easy to use. The Photo Pill app is more versatile, you can do more then DOF. Check them out on YouTube.

Good Luck

Photo Pills is a great app! The augmented reality feature alone makes it worthwhile for me
