B/W photo of a long abandoned rural house in our area. I usually work in color, but decided on (mostly) b/w for this.
I've a collection of similar structures - houses and barns - that have been abandoned and left to the elements.
(We live in a rural area outside a small Alabama town, and away from any large cities.)

Thanks for sharing! Shots like this are some of my favorites, second only to coming across a similar opportunity myself. For me, an instant curiosity is invoked. 👏

I think your reduced color in this image really makes it work. Nice job.

Thanks. I converted the color photo into b/w, but wasn't entirely happy so I mixed the two together biasing toward the b/w. I thought the b/w reinforced the look of abandonment.

Glad you liked it. It's a bit different than my usual color shots.

Great picture. Is it haunted?

I live in Alabama also and have shot this same house . Be sure and go across the road and shoot the old church bus and a couple of other old buildings . Watch out for snakes this time of the year .
