After 7 years of wishful thinking the slow brown truck is finally coming... I know, most of you will not be excited about a 7 year old legacy camera purchase but sometimes there is just a missing link in the kit that needs filling. My 2 60Ds have given me me good FOV choices with all my FF lenses but now with a FF in the arsenal everything is covered in spades... At less than 1000 I could not resist. Can't wait to throw the legacy 28-70 2.8 L on this baby and see how well it holds up. I will post pics from this outdated combo as I plan on doing some long exposure waterfalls in our tri state area of TN,GA and Alabama this summer.

Thanks for the good wishes guys... Most folks are interested in the latest and greatest but I had to go with that quality piece that completes the puzzle. I am so psyched I almost had an APB put out on the man with the brown shoes.... No one really cares for a Brown truck post but I just had to vent !!!!
I for one, like to tried and true. As for venting, that's okay.
Happy Shooting
When you get to GA be sure to look at Aminicola Falls, just south of Chattanooga.

The 6D I was my first full frame camera. I loved it! You will too, it is a great camera. There may be a small learning curve, so be patient, but it will pay off. Good luck!
My first full frame was the 5D Mark II. I love it and was using it to teach my son. Now I have the 5D Mark IV. I will be donating try old camera to the local high school's Photography Program

The 6D is at the top of my list of possible FF bodies, if ever I decide to go that route. Enjoy.

Yeah mark, I also do Olympus but at the price point of the 6D it was hard not to bite.... I have always believed good glass is where its at and have always tried to buy the best quality FF lenses that I could afford; I have a couple legacy L lenses and am salivating at the bit to see how they hold up to the 6D. I was more interested in performance on a tripod and minimum noise at low ISO. # of focusing points was not an issue and either was focus speed. It was hard to punch the buy button on the Canon rather than the buy button on a new Olympus lens but common sense and quality/price won the day... if you already have a cropped body and FF lenses the addition of a FF body sure adds versatility to your apparent FOV choices and kit combinations. Good luck if you decide to go that route.
The 6D still rocks! Enjoy! You live in a great area for that. I love the mountains of Alabama especially Cheaha and the Smokies are a dream come true for landscapes.

Funny you should mention Cheaha... one of my fav. areas is Chinnabee rec. area near the State park and the Lake Chinnabee silent trail. Lots of nice stuff in the southern Appalachians. Thanks for your comments. Bob
