The southeastern black bears are certainly smaller. What you might want to see one day are the Alaskan Black bears. Like the grizzlies, they are enormous (when compared with the bears down south).
Surfer photographer? Excellent surfer photographer! I always look forward to your work. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe I can understand this because I'm Canadian. It is merely a small shot of self-effacing humor.
I just want to know who his dentist is! Those are quite the pearly whites.
I'd say Purple Finch, not knowing where the shot was taken. Cassin's has a far more restricted range than the Purple or House.
Beautiful! I too am a "new" birder of about 4 years. You've picked a great subject for your learning curve. Your color is very nice; I find it difficult with swallows because the blues seem to glare. Also you have the bird posed in a nice 'habitat' shot as they're usually hanging about the sort of place I can imagine is just outside your photo. Really nice. Thanks for sharing.
Super! Looks like a cairne build by some mythological giant.
I seem to remember about 4 or maybe 5 floors at the Nha Trang hotel. The only thing I recognize from your shots is the one of the fish mongers. Positively amazing what a few years can do.
Beautiful work as always. In the first photo, are those 2 somewhat ovoid sections of rock missing because someone stole some of the petroglyphs?
I've seen the "whites" when they're gone. In the summer I have seen them breeding in/on the Slave River in the Canadian Northwest Territories. Great viewing of the river at Fort Smith on the edges of Wood Buffalo National Park. They don't dive to fish. They stick their open bills in the water and scoop out the fish on their way by.
Breathtaking! Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
Beautiful shots! Sad to see that the Middle Teton glacier is almost gone.
You don't put a bumper sticker on a Rolls Royce.
Almost surrealistic. It's no wonder it got the name 'Erewhon'.
