I was recently in Yellowstone NP, when I spotted this Grizzly Bear. We were driving south of Old Faithful, when I spotted this bear down in a raven, I did a quick u-turn and went back to shoot it. As you can see I had a small shooting window in-between the leaves of the trees. The Grizzly appeared to be on a moose kill, look at the length of the leg and jaw bone. I created a traffic jam, and the other dumb photographers with cell phones tried to get closer than I would dare go, hopefully everyone was okay as I left when it got crowded. Gary
Zoomed in and it looks like that bear may have spotted another target.
Great shot! He looks none too happy at having his meal interrupted.
Would not want to get too close while it is guarding dinner! You were smart to leave early!
My son and his wife were camping there last week and were joking about not forgetting the bear spray, I guess nobody reminded the moose☹️
I think the rangers call them bearjams, they usually set up a safe perimeter to keep the knuckleheads that want their kids in the snapshot far enough away, but it takes a while for them to get deployed.

Great capture. As for the others....well you can't fix stupid.
Humph, the park service will not admit that the remains are of a tourist from Topeka Kansas...
Great shot. If it wasn't for stupid people, life would be so dull.

The southeastern black bears are certainly smaller. What you might want to see one day are the Alaskan Black bears. Like the grizzlies, they are enormous (when compared with the bears down south).
In the 80s I lived on Picciola Island which is on Lake Griffin. The lake is connected to the Ocklawaha River that goes into the Ocala National Forest as is the far end of the "island". We had a visitor one fine day, a brown bear. The park service shot it with a tranquilizer gun for relocation back to the forest.
Every neighborhood has a brave tough guy and a wife with a camera. The foolish fellow went over and put his arm around the bear... for a moment... not being fully asleep the bear decided to take a bit of the unwanted arm... I do not recall how many stitches the fool needed to mend his arm.
