I have been seriously in search of the best work I can produce, given the equipment I have and the time I am willing to put into the quest. I have been birding for less than two years and occasionally capture something that gives me confidence. I know many of you know what it feels like to get "that shot/s" and how it motivates. I am also motivated by my failures. Of the two, of course I would prefer the former. Yesterday, I went to my local meadow and was delighted to see the swallows. Since I did not shoot there last year, it was a pleasant surprise. I am still working with the invariant nature of my Nikon and judging from my understanding of what it can do for my style of shooting, I feel I am turning a page. I got "that shot." Please enjoy the downloads. It was an incredible day and I wanted to share it with you all!
Outstanding work, Bernie!
Absolutely stunning! Congrats on this milestone.

I have failed miserably at photographing swallows. Your captures are superb, Bernard. I'm glad you shared them.
Beautiful. Swallows are VERY difficult.
Gorgeous Bernie ! ......8-)

Extremely nice photos. Your time and patience has been well spent. Mahalo for sharing,
Wow, Ernie! These are excellent.
Beautifully captured, Bernie...congratulations on this success!!
Wow, all I ever see of swallows is mostly blur, and a couple tail feathers....
Well, Bernie, you sure did get "the shots" and you should be proud. Just beautiful. I know exactly the feeling you are describing. You can't wait to get home and see them on the big screen. You can't wait to share them with somebody. You can't wait to get back out there again, all the while knowing that you won't have the same opportunity in the same spot most likely, but you will search out the spot anyway, again and again.
Very beautiful. A pat on the back for a good catch.
