I was about to "cry foul" when I saw your first image! Sure looks a lot like Lee Marvin who died in 1987!

Check this. It could be possible to run the scanner on Win 10 if you just set everyting correctly on your PC. http://www.howtogeek.com/228689/how-to-make-old-programs-work-on-windows-10/

I have used compatability modes to run programs for older version of MS operating systems on newer versions with good results.

Thanks for that link JPL! I will bookmark it for possible future reference. I knew about virtual machine, but this looks more comprehensive!

I have a local photojournalist who still shoots with two Nikon D3s's. One has a shutter count of 1.8 MILLION, the other one only has a shutter count of 1.2 MILLION (Neither has had the shutters replaced). Shutters can last a VERY long time, or they can fail prematurely, there is no way to know when they will fail until they actually do.

I think I have done this calculation here before regarding this camera. Nikon D3s was released almost 3000 days ago. That camera has averaged over 600 shutter releases a day. I can only imagine that it must have been set up in some sort of time lapse situation over an extended period of time with over 99.9% of the captures being completely ignored.

I have only purchased "bargain" level items from KEH and have never been disappointed. As others have said, I would imagine that EX+ would look like new to me!

Oops! I guess Kalamazoo's hasn't flown passengers in a while. My info was old.

I am local to the Kalamazoo Aviation History Museum that operates one of these. I haven't been up in it yet, but it is neat to see it flying around. Wikipedia claims that 199 were made and nine are still airworthy.

I was looking through some junk boxes a while back, and I found some old film rolls - exposed. I’ve one roll of what is labeled 620 Kodacolor film. According to the outer label, it requires the C-22 process. I’ve four rolls - 20 Exposure - of the old Seattle Filmworks movie stock. As I recall, this film was capable of producing either slides or negatives. I’d settle for either. I’ve about a dozen rolls of Kodachrome.

I hav no idea what might be on these rolls, but I'd truly like to find out. Does anyone know of a lab that can handle these?

As stated by LoneRangeFinder - you are out of luck for standard Kodachrome processing, however these folks can get you black and white apparently

My Nikon LS-2000 scanner just came back from some "spa time" and is now happily back at work.

I think it's fantastic that you found someone to work on this! (OT - I think it's high time Nikon got back in the scanner game. They might be surprised how much interest would develop [sorry]. They surprised many with the intro of the F6 when the digital sun was quite high in the sky, why not sell a great 35mm film scanner again?)

And speaking of Adams and his Contax -

One of my favorite images from Ansel. I like the idea that Mr Landscape Photography pulled off a "decisive moment" type photo that Cartier Bresson might have been happy to produce. And, sorry Mr Stieglitz, better than any of the images you made of your wife.

Hoods for the 1.8 are 1/4 the price of the lens. Similar to putting a Canon 600 EX-RT onto a refurbished SX50 :) Always found this humorous.

I have some Canon EOS film cameras that double in value (or expense if you insist) when you put batteries and film in them!

Looks like some nice stuff. If I didn't already have three enlargers, I would make you an offer. If it was a Focomat V35, I would be on my way from Kalamazoo with cash in hand! I second the craigslist idea. With State starting up big time right now, you might get some interest.

I use my pre-AI Nikkors on a D3200. No metering and stop down aperture, but of course I can check the exposure on the LCD right after the shutter release. I have found that in order to have full aperture range control, I need to mount the lens just short of the lock position. The lenses appear to be attached to the camera secure enough, but I do not use anything larger than a 135mm 2.8. I bought and installed a 45 degree split screen from China via ebay that works fairly well at f stops faster than 3.5. Not a very smooth operation - focus wide open...stop down to desired f stop... estimate shutter speed for that f stop and chosen ISO combo...expose and check the LCD to see if your brain still works.
