UPS, FEDEX, DHL........Are all good for me. USPS really really sucks!
I have had just the opposite experiences. Never a problem with USPS, some problems with UPS, major problems with Fedex.
It's a left right thing. All the way left being government owns and controls everything, all the way right, government owns and controls nothing.

Close, but not quite. All the way left, government controls everything (Socialism). All the way Right, corporations own and control everything, including the government(Fascism)
Greetings fellow photographers. I am in need of a reliable aftermarket ink cartridge source for an Epson Stylus Pro 7800 printer.

I have an Epson Stylus R1800 and get my ink from Epson.com. The only problem I have had with them is that they ship FedEx. Usually FedEx ships to the local P.O. who delivers the ink into my mailbox. Last time FedEx delivered the ink, I was out of town and they left the ink on the porch. Before I got back we had an unusually severe rain storm. The box was soaked, but the ink cartridges were wrapped in bubble wrap which kept them dry.

If you buy one of those older Sigma 400's just make sure it is the AF 400mm APO version, it was extremely sharp where the non-APO versions were notoriously soft.

Thanks for your input everyone. MT; how can I tell if it is APO?

I really enjoy photographing Bald Eagles. I have a chance to buy a used Sigma AF 400mm F5.6 for under $175. Is anyone familiar with this lens? I haven't seen it yet, but if it is in good condition, is this a good quality lens?

A truly extravagant waste of money; if it were true.
Which it is not.
A) The dog wasn't flown on an Ospry.
B) The dog was flown on a small jet with staff members who had to go there anyway because Air Force One couldn't land on the runway which is way too short.
C) Get a life!

Change the names and that rumor has been going on since FDR. Total BS.

Does anyone know what this is? If a location will help identify it, it was taken on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula at the south end of Hood Canal.

While 35mm gear begs for filters for front group protection. Digitals using lens shades simply do not need UV or skylight filters.
IMHO
I have recently gotten back into photography after an absence of many years so all of my knowlege and experience is with film, I am a digital newbie. Why do digitals not need the protection?

Is there a way to save a text layer in PSE7 so it can be used on multiple photos without recreating it each time?
Thanks
I think this is an excellent Photo. Exposure, contrast and tonal graduations are all very good. It makes you want to stroke that twisted wood.
The only thing I have slight reservations about is the rather large amount of bland sky,

I agree that it is a great photo, but I like the sky the way it is. In my opinion, interesting clouds would detract from that awesome tree.

The rain sleeve is a must, but the main thing you need are whales. I was on a whale watching trip from Seattle to the San Juan Islands and didn't see a thing. Another time I took the Victoria Clipper from Seattle to (of all places) Victoria and we saw dozens of Orca. Good luck and have fun.

I have an Epson photo printer. I have seen remanufactured ink cartridges at a great price at Clicklinks.com. Has anyone had any dealings with them or used remanufactured cartridges?
