Did you get sunburned at the nudist camp Tom?

I like number 4 Rob, except for the shadow on the face. The pose is excellent though.

Check out Canon G5X. I have been reading up on it and intend to get one. It is similar to the G9X only has a viewfinder. Not cheap, but not nearly as expensive as the RX100 IV.

No, it is an interesting shot that kept my attention.

I had the Sony RX100 III for a year. It was a great little camera, that produced great images. I didn't have any trouble with battery, it was the viewfinder that I didn't like in that it had to be popped up and pulled out and I missed some shots while doing this. Also, I found it difficult to hold onto, even with the added little grip.

I had the Stylus 1 for a little over a year. I traded (to what I thought was) "up" to true m4/3rds because I thought that the larger sensor would give better image quality. However, since I seldom enlarge for printing there wasn't a visible difference. The main difference is that I couldn't get very shallow DOF or "bokeh". Now I never seem to have the right lens on for the situation, whereas the zoom on the Stylus 1 had all the reach I needed for almost everything. It's a great little camera!

I miss my wife too Tom. She fell and broke a hip, had surgery, and is now in rehab in a nursing home.

Yes, IS off, but be careful to squeeze the shutter. Don't punch it, you'll cause camera shake. Better yet use the timer, or a cable release (if the camera will accommodate that.

Linda's comments are very good. I would only add that if you have a fast lens that would blur out the background, then the subjects would stand out better.

Many times I look at B&W "Street Photography" photos and they look "bla" to me, and I think that color would make them come alive, but that's just my opinion.

The colors are great. Is that from a "vivid" camera setting?

Yes, John and I had an enjoyable afternoon together. Maybe I'll get around to posting again one of these days. It's been a long time I know. Right now, we have a granddaughter that's expecting twins and they are trying to come early. So she is "on hold" in the hospital in Indy and we have been focusing on her.

Show our fellow UHHers the shots of the Belleville Tree John.

Interesting shots. Those that appreciate Corvettes ought to go to You Tube and enter "Corvette Sounds" in the search. Notice the different sounds from the different year's models.

Oh my! Does that ever stir up memories. I used to hang out at a neighborhood blacksmith shop when I was a boy too. One time a man was inquiring about putting a horse down and who to get to remove the carcass, so 4 of us boys bought the horse for a dollar. We plowed gardens and rode the old horse around town most of the summer. Finally my dad said we were going on vacation and I had to get the horse out of our barn, so I sold out and got my 25 cent investment back. When we got back the horse had died and the boys (or their parents) had to pay to get it picked up. One of my better investments.

Thanks John!

Why should I PAY the cell phone data providers to keep photos there, when I can keep them in a small camera for free?
