When I venture into this old building and close my eyes, I can still feel the heat from the forge and see the hot orange-colored steel laid out on the anvil, ready for shaping.

I grew up 2 doors away from a blacksmiths shop. I remember all that you said, and especially the sound of the hammer. It was quite an education and a wonderful memory. Looks like you caught this one just in time, good job, and thanks for the memory!

I hope you took some shots inside John, because it looks like it could collapse any time?

You should try a sketch effect on this one John. It's just made for it.

Great shot John it reminds me of when I was a kid watching the blacksmith at work in his workshop in my birthtown of Prescot. He usd to say I could go and work for him when I left school but sadly he was long gone by then.

Actually, this was my great-grandfather's shop. I can remember my uncle sharpening plowshares in it when I was about six years old.
Thanks for looking.

Unfortunately, there's not much left inside. All the "good stuff" is long gone. Thanks for looking.

I agree, but I don't have software to do that.

Thanks for looking, Bob.

As I stated in an earlier reply, this was my great-grandfather's shop, and I can remember my uncle sharpening plowshares in it when I was about six years old. There are a lot of good memories in that old building for me. Thanks for looking.
