No, it is a two-wheel dolly
These little lizards are in great abundance here in Okeechobee and all over this area. They have this strange antic that is used to attract others of their type and I think they use this method for attracting insects to lure them in closer so they can get a easy catch for dinner. I love watching them.
I noticed the blooming flowers of my daughter-in-law in Okeechobee today. The heat index is 100 degrees fahrenheit and it's the end of May. Among them was a new flower, the giant Iris. What a surprize. I guess it takes the heat to bring out the beauty in some things
Eight or nine years ago Stumpy came to the Bait shop looking for food. There was something unusual about him. He had a foot missing and walked with a stump at the end of his leg. No one knows just what happened but it's easy to guess. Close by the bait store is a canal that runs close by Lake Okeechobee that is infested with alligators and snakes. Let you imagine run a little and you will come up with probably what happened. I was introduced to Stumpy yesterday. I fed him a fresh minnow from the well and he was a happy Cow Bird. Down here we call them cow birds. They are really Egrets, or Cattle Egrets. The shop is Garrard's Bait and Tackle Shop at 4375 US 441 S in Okeechobee Florida.
Being a photographer help open my eyes to the strangeness of nature and it's unexplainable Beauty. If you look and open your eyes you will see beauty where before you only saw a bleak landscape and atmosphere.
Whether the Cypress Knees are there to provide oxygen or anchor the roots of the tree in the soft mud of the swamps it is still a phenomenal sight in the South Florida Swamps. It is said that if the knees are cut down it does nothing to the tree and the knees continue to grow. I love sitting on the edge of the swamp to take it all in.
I have become enamored with the wild flowers that bloom in abundance all over the world where I have traveled. I now reside in Okeechobee Florida, by the large lake seen in the middle of the Florida peninsula. There are species of wild vegetation unfamiliar to me so I have been shooting some of them. Most folds just pass on by them never noticing their intricate beauty. This Swamp Rosemallow grows all around the lake and I just couldn't pass it up.
